Stay directly off Cherokee Street in the historic Benton Park West neighborhood! We are a short walk to bus routes, great restauraunts and nightlife, “Antique Row”, a community garden and dog park. Only 3 miles from downtown.

We have over 4 years of hosting experience, know plenty of cool spots and usually have time to show you around. Our house is great for solo adventurers, couples, and families.

No limit on # of guests, and pets and kids welcome.

The space

The house is a 2 story, 3 bedroom brick home built in 1896. You'll be in a private upstairs room with 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. There is a shared bathroom downstairs.

You are also welcome to use the kitchen, living room, backyard, washer/ dryer, etc.

The neighborhood is known as Cherokee Street, well known for being home to the largest Hispanic population in the city as well as an ecletic mix of artists.

Guest access

Access to the entire house (kitchen with cooking supplies, dining room, living room, fenced backyard, basement with washer and dryer)

Interaction with guests

We can recommend different neighborhoods, local restaurants and nightlife. I work 6am-3pm, but usually available if you want a tour after.

Other things to note

A 2 year old Blue Heeler mix named Heather lives in the house. She is very sweet and loves playing with people, cats, and other dogs, or else we can confine her in another room if you prefer.

(Or, she'll stay in the kitchen if you're not a dog person.)

Everything great - we made a very last minute booking but our hosts accommodated us admirably. It was a brief stay , arriving evening in St. Louis and leaving first thing to travel onwards towards New Orleans but it was an ideal place to stop, the house was great, location perfect and Lizs tips were very helpful and we loved St. Louis.

Had a great time staying at Tim & Liz', they are extremely knowledgable about the local area and were incredibly friendly hosts. The house is in an up and coming area just next to Cherokee st which full of restaurants and bars. Had no trouble getting elsewhere in the city in ~15minutes in the car. Also they have an adorable kitten called Chief who is great. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun time in STL!

Tims place is great for the value. It's close to bars and restaurants and a hip part of town. My boyfriend and I just stayed for the night and it was the perfect place. There is a dog and she is sweet and there are roommates as well. The bathroom isn't the cleanest and there was no toilet paper there but paper towels. Which isn't a huge deal but if that's something that's going to bother you, pay the extra 20 for a room. There was no AC in the room but 3 fans and for someone who needs a cold room to sleep, it was totally fine. I'd stay there again.

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting the area. It's a short drive to the city and there are a bunch of restaurants in walking distance. Heather is the sweetest dog in the world and petting her is better than visiting St. Louis.

Loves to garden, tinker, try new foods and have deep conversation. I like SciFi and board gaming

I have been hosting couchsurfers for years prior to AirBNB. I will try to help you get the most of your stay in St. Louis, whatever that means to you. When I travel I enjoy bare-bones: packed hostels or hammocking.
