Stay directly off Cherokee Street in the historic Benton Park West neighborhood! We are a short walk to bus routes, great restauraunts and nightlife, “Antique Row”, a community garden and dog park. Only 3 miles from downtown.
We have over 4 years of hosting experience, know plenty of cool spots and usually have time to show you around. Our house is great for solo adventurers, couples, and families.
No limit on # of guests, and pets and kids welcome.
The house is a 2 story, 3 bedroom brick home built in 1896. You'll be in a private upstairs room with 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. There is a shared bathroom downstairs.
You are also welcome to use the kitchen, living room, backyard, washer/ dryer, etc.
The neighborhood is known as Cherokee Street, well known for being home to the largest Hispanic population in the city as well as an ecletic mix of artists.
Access to the entire house (kitchen with cooking supplies, dining room, living room, fenced backyard, basement with washer and dryer)
Interaction with guests
We can recommend different neighborhoods, local restaurants and nightlife. I work 6am-3pm, but usually available if you want a tour after.
Other things to note
A 2 year old Blue Heeler mix named Heather lives in the house. She is very sweet and loves playing with people, cats, and other dogs, or else we can confine her in another room if you prefer.
-No loud music after 10pm on weekdays please!
-Smoke what you like, but outside. There's a fenced backyard you can use.
-I'm teaching the puppy to not jump and say hello unless invited; she is getting much better and if you'd like to help, give her a "No" and a pinch if she jumps, and a good girl if she doesn't.
(Or, she'll stay in the kitchen if you're not a dog person.)

Loves to garden, tinker, try new foods and have deep conversation. I like SciFi and board gaming
I have been hosting couchsurfers for years prior to AirBNB. I will try to help you get the most of your stay in St. Louis, whatever that means to you. When I travel I enjoy bare-bones: packed hostels or hammocking.
