Our apartment is walking distance to all North Shore destinations--stadiums, casino, Science Center, Aviary, restaurants, the Warhol and Bicycle Heaven. It's perfect for couples, solo adventurers and business travelers. Our subway is a quick ten minute walk and free to downtown. Your hosts live just down the street. There's a TV, AC unit and Keurig. Provided fresh towels and toiletries. Manchester is minutes from freeways in ALL directions and just off the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail.
Manchester is one of Pittsburgh's oldest neighborhoods and is where Pittsburgh's kings of industry lived at the turn of the century. Andrew Carnegie grew up in Manchester and read books at the house of a rich neighbor, prompting his interest in starting free libraries. Bonus: our house is where George S Kaufman, famed playwright, was born.
Guests have access to the entire first floor apartment. Full kitchen with dishwasher. TV and wall unit AC, although as a first floor apartment it rarely gets too hot.
Interaction with guests
We live just down the street so are always available to help you enjoy your stay.
Other things to note
My unit is unavailable after August. However, random dates keep unblocking. I've contacted Airbnb multiple times but it still happens. I apologize if you see an open date after August 1. This is incorrect but not my fault. Thanks!
Please respect the upstairs neighbors and treat this lovely apartment as you would your own.
I'm a fellow traveler who appreciates a setting that allows you to experience the essence of a new city. Our house is located in one of Pittsburgh's most historic neighborhoods--did you know that at the turn of the century, Manchester had more millionaires per capita than anywhere on earth? We're mere minutes by foot or bike from the stadiums, museums, casino and entertainment destinations of Pittsburgh's bustling North Shore. We're also less than a ten minute walk to the T, providing free light rail transportation to downtown. We want you to have a quality experience in Pittsburgh and discover why it's often called 'the San Francisco of the East'.
