We (myself, my wife and 8-month year old boy) spent one week in one of the three small studios in the Fanaraki area, a short drive from the town of Moudrou. The property lies in a quiet area, half an hour drive from the airport and has a private beach access with own umbrellas and deck chairs. Our accommodation was basic with all necessities. Our host, Matt, was very helpful and responsive from the very beginning, providing us with a baby chair and having us pick up the studio keys at the airport upon arrival, complete with detailed driving directions. The town of Moudrou offers basic groceries, a bakery, a few restaurants in the small port, a pharmacy and a lovely little café (Pezoula Café).
We enjoyed the location, although the fruition of the private beach was spoilt by a strong north-westerly wind, lasting several days, with waves washing seaweed and some debris onto the beach. Fortunately, the beautiful inlet of Mikro Fanaraki was just a 5 minute walk on the other side of the road, offering a more protected beach, well organized and catering very well for families with young kids. We nevertheless enjoyed the quietness of the location, the soothing sound of the waves and the starry sky at night.
We are overall satisfied with our experience, despite some ill-luck with the wind and other smaller inconveniences.
