Jeff & Barb User ProfileJeff & Barb is a superhost.

Our place is a Rustic Peaceful RETREAT!
We have noticed that our primary guests have been CEO's or other Professional people looking for solitude, peace and quiet while they work through the Internet. (Others come for the Duck or Track)
[ Instead of concrete Towers and filthy trashy streets and screaming sirens or train noises car honking, fights, or illegal activities in the Cities ]
They come to escape the harsh life and breath nature. Rejuvenate!

Pausing from their laptops, they can glance up through large windows and see God's Green pastures and Majestic Mountains and 150~200 foot trees. And they can walk outside and pick a variety of fruits fresh from the plants and trees. (Apple, Apricot, Cherry, Plumb, Pear, Grapes, Strawberry, blueberry, Many Veggies and tons of wild BLACKBERRIES!

There is a Garden just outside your door. You walk from your car 15 feet from your door and walk on a 8 ft bridge over the top of the garden to reach your door.
We have 4+ acres to explore. Surrounded by mountains, there are no noises of any kind. But you may see deer, turkey and bear. We have a 25 foot Swing in a tree you should play on.

The whole street has horses, you may see a few cattle or lamas or maybe goat, from the farm neighbors but you won't smell them or hear them. It is a dead end paved country road, free from all crime, total safety here! Absolute silence! We live about 150 feet above all the farms in the distance. Air is FREE of smog, dirt, noise and wind. It is perfect! 30 Minutes from us is Eugene, but by contrast is the opposite. However you can enjoy the DUCK football games and countless sports and concerts.

But at the end of the day, don't you want to sleep with the windows open and enjoy healthy, peaceful, clean air?
Don't you want to feel safe and know your car will not be damaged or stolen? We are only 30 minutes way !!!

I am a retired Inventor, Engineer, Business creator. Wife retired as an Admin Assistant.. We worked Aerospace. She Rockwell, Lockheed, Sony. Me Lockheed. Northrop, ITT radar, Computer Science Corp, many more... Several business I built including Security systems, RE investor, 18 years as a Landlord. I built the home you will be staying in. We take the Sacrament every week. We love to talk if you please. Over 20+ years here, I built everything you see.

Wife and I are 60+ years old, and are hooked on AIRBNB, first as Guests in 5 homes and now as Hosts with 3 places. We have met many new friends from around the world and what a wonderful time it has been. When we were new to Airbnb, we wondered if it would be hard to break into the scene with no references but of course that was not a problem. We ourselves have been Airbnb guests in homes in: New Jersey; Washington DC, Orlando, Fl; Nashville, Tn ; Salt Lake City, Ut. And traveled to many other places. Our Son's live in Hawaii.

We love to travel , we don't need any maid service, we do NOT smoke. We are always respectful. We like movies, shows, theater, museums, art, Science, history.

Curious about everything. I lived in Las Vegas for 3 years in the casino and security business. We and our kids were raised in California and worked in Aerospace. We enjoy all kinds of food, esp. spicy hot. We like most music.

Our AirBNB experience began in July 2013 with tickets to "Radio City Music Hall" to see "America's got Talent!" in New York.

In Washington DC, We were graciously chauffeured by a lady who responded to Barbs need for a Walker, she adopted us! For a week we were driven around personally in a BMW and taken to the Pentagon and AFB concerts and operas and I saw and heard so much my heart was touched with love and pride for Country in so many ways.

In Orlando, Fl. Javier even took me to a Bruno Mars concert.

In Nashville, Tn. Jamie took us to her Honky Tonks where she plays her original country songs. I also enjoyed THE WEEK of CMA! And the Food was awesome every day. I think of her as my sister because she reminds me of me.

In Salt Lake City, Ut. I spent a week enjoying Park City (zip-lines) and the Temple Square.

I thank God for the endless love people extended to us during this time.

I took over 6200 pictures and videos, more than 90 gigs of memories. Everyday a new adventure !

Wife and I paid out more than $3,900 to our Hosts, staying more than 1.5 months in their bedrooms. But it was worth it, once we stayed in exclusive high income areas and lived among the rich. But we prefer the humble lovable adorable places with people that treat you like family and frankly I want to relive that Nashville trip over and over because Love is Priceless. It all was a great learning experience and we expect to explore more in the future
OUR OWN SPACE IN OREGON Has World Famous Sporting events including the Track teams going on now and next year at the UNIVERSITY OF OREGON, Eugene , so book early on either my very comfortable and all new detached "TINY Home" which is 8x24 and could fit two queen air mattresses which we DO have. (4 people max ) , that is mostly ADA Accommodating.
Or we have a RV pad / camper site with full hook ups and sewer, ( long term you could have TV and phone).
Or our Dirt cheap $10 dry camping
Or our Spare room in our Home is available too.
Be sure to read the captions.
We are flexible people that can talk your head off or be invisible, your choice.
There are infinite choices of things to do in our county alone like: Lakes, fishing, Gambling, Ocean, Sand Dune ATVs, Water and Snow Skiing Trails, Biking, Music Concerts, Fairs, Street Markets, Live Theater, Movies, Sports, Sports and more Sports. Tons of places to eat or drink. 40 or so microbreweries and wineries nearby.

Our own town of Cottage Grove is Historical with lots of shops and things to do, beside it has its own Race Tract for car and quarter midgets and runs Friday and Saturday Nights. Good thing there are mountains between us and them! We have two local boating/fishing Lakes within 15 minutes of us.
In 1994 we moved to the forested mountains of Oregon. We are 6 miles from a town of under 10,000, easy 30 minute commute to Eugene. Never a traffic jam or congestion on the I-5 , New hospital, new H.S., NO SMOG, dead end road, no noises. Horse Country, all neighbors are much richer than us, all have rifles, one is a retired cop, with a shooting range, nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away.

I live 120~150 ft above everybody so it looks like Heaven from here.
If anybody has $225,000 I will sell them part of my land, 2.5 flat acres with creek, 2 shallow well, septic approval, DSL, building permit was approved but expired. Power phone, peace, shoot your gun if you want. This is the only LOT that can ever be built on this road. Very strict about building.
A neighbor next to this pasture built a 7br, 7000 SQFT mansion and a 1 acre pond.

We are available 24/7 by text or phone (use our cell-phone, not airbnb that's not timely/reliable) , or doorbell, we live on the property.
The property is extremely Safe, well protected and private uphill location.
You don't need a key but you have one.
You may see large deer or other animals.
