The location is perfect for a group of 6 (3 couples, families). They renovated the place and we were the first ones after renovation. Plenty of space, very clean. They have a kitchen full with all necessary tools for cooking. The balconies are quite OK for having a cigar or a beer during the night.
The apartment it's located in a very good spot. Across the street is the bus station from where you can go to the beaches. Across the street you can find every day fresh vegetables and fruits to buy. 5 minutes away it's a supermarket and near the corner it's a very nice cafeteria where we were drinking coffee every morning.
Only two negative feedback:
- no WiFi
- they charged extra 44 EUR when we left because they forget about the city tax and it seemed a little bit unprofessional to do this after we paid all our duties.
The city is very cheap compering other places in Italy but you have to prepare for a very chill and family-friends holiday. No clubs or animated beaches. The food is amazing everywhere and they have very nice restaurants for all budgets. During our stay we had the chance to find several events happening in the old part of the city and this was quite nice.
I recommend you:
- a trip to Alberobello (1h by bus)
- take the bus and check the beaches from Capitolo (15min by bus)
there you can find a small aqua park and also a water game center (ski jet, banana, water boats, etc.)
Il Guazzetto ($$$ - need reservation 24h before - very good food and huge portions, one of the best from Monopoli)
La Dolce Vita ( $$ - very nice place - Piazza Garibaldi - very good pizza)
Ristorante Porto Giardino ($$$ - nice view)
Lido Bianco ($$$ - best place, food and view - it's expensive but you should try it one time)
Trattoria da Pierino L'inglese ($$ - you should try the menu of the day - lot of seafood for very few money)
