My place is close to Victor Hugo Deli, many restaurants and convenience stores; the Meadows parklands and the Queen's Park; and walking distance to all tourist highlights around the city centre. You’ll love my place because of the neighbourhood, the light and its convenience for the museums, galleries and shopping. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).

There is some on street parking but Edinburgh is a great city to walk around. Some previous guests have walked from the main railway station but a taxi ride is only a short distance.

Arranging pickup of the keys was very smooth and Kath (Sam's mum) met us at the flat to show us where everything was. Everything you could need was there and it was in a very pleasant quiet neigbourhood, but not too far from the main fringe areas. The flat is very spacious and it was great having a separate shower room to bathroom. I'd highly recommend it as a place to stay.

Kath was welcoming and very helpful on arrival . She gave us lots of tips for restaurants and shows( we were here for the festival) and directions on how to get around. The flat is lovely, very spacious , and has a peaceful atmosphere and great views. The area is perfect- walking distance from the centre , yet out of the fray, nice pubs and cafes near by, but all enhanced by the meadows, an oasis of green space that is the easy way to stroll into town. Very highly recommended- would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay. Plenty of space for 6 people. Easy walk to the city centre via a beautiful park. Kath, who is managing the place for Samuel was flexible with check in and check out which was just what we needed. She was also spot on with her recommendations especially for a Sunday roast. The flat was very clean, beds comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and amazing tea and coffee provided. Thanks so much.

Kath was such an amazing host! I planned this post-grad trip with my uni friend for two of our families. The flat can originally only fit 6 people, but Kath was happy to accommodate our 7th person, so both of our families can fit together. Before arrival, she also looked up places and restaurants for our visit, which is super helpful because our parents cannot walk much, and so her recommendations really helped. We also arrived late to check-in, but Kath was very accommodating and waited for us despite it getting quite late. The flat is located on the third floor, and there is no lift. It would be helpful to bring fewer bags. Kath was so kind to help carry some of our bags too. The rooms and kitchen in the flat are all very pretty, well taken care of and well-equipped. There is only one toilet and one bathroom, so it can get quite busy with 7 people, but we made do with it. The living room offered a great view of the neighbourhood and a little bit of the city. There is a great park 5 min walk away from the flat. Good for picnics or just a stroll. There is a Co-op and a Sains within 3 min walk from the flat. We mostly took the taxi to the city because our parents can't walk much. But the walk to the city is quite nice, and only about 25-30 min. The taxi rides were about 5-10 min. There's an abundance of taxis around the neighbourhood. Overall a really great stay. Will recommend friends to stay at this flat.

We enjoyed our stay very much and Kath (Samuel's mother and our host) was super nice and friendly, giving recommendations and really doing everything to make us feel at home. The location is very convenient, in a quiet neighbourhood yet 15 min. away from George Sq. where many of the festival's activities took place. About 25 min. walk to the Old city center, 35 to Arthur's seat, which is an increadible place to be on a clear day. The flat is really nice and spacious, fully equipped, old style, nice view from the bedrooms, the only drawback of it being an old building is that you hear a bit of noises from the neighbours, but not very distinct or loud, so it's really not an issue.

We've been 3 nights at Kath's and Samuel apartment with our 3 boys, and we loved it. Very spacious, excelent localization, friendly area, with a beautiful park, and lots of useful stores. We had a great time in Edimburgh! And Kath was so nice with us, always very helpful. It was one more thing that is making our holidays special!
