Interaction with guests

Ask us anytime in case that you need anything during your stay. We will be happy to give you plenty of information concerning places to go, where to buy food, how to book local taxis or travel to other cities..

Getting around

Moving around Havana: There is a main route of old Chevrolets taxis passing by 23 Street, 2 min from home. There is another taxi route passing by Linea, 7 min from home. These taxis take you to Centro Havana, Old Havana/ Miramar, Playa. Same with local buses.
We can also put you in touch with local private drivers, in case that you want to book taxis.

Traveling to Playa del Este (beaches on the East of Havana): You can reach the beaches by taxi. Prices range from $20 - $40. There are also local buses deprarting from 23 y J, and from Havana Main Train Station; however, we don't recommend it, since the buses get very crowded and it may take up to 3 hours to get there. Alternatively, you can also take a Chevrolet taxi from Havana Main Train Station that takes you to the beach for $3, sharing the taxi with other people (this is very common in Cuba).

Pedro and Tere were absolutely perfect hosts - friendly, helpful, generous, and had thought put everything a guest may need. Pedro speaks decent English and is readily available with tips and hints for the best stay in Havana. Tere is still learning but is still a delight to have a conversation with in her broken English and my broken spanish. I highly recommend the breakfast, though there are also many cafes within a few blocks. The mattress isn't what you'd find in any American hotels, so if you have back problems or something maybe consider elsewhere, but it never kept either of us from getting a solid, restful night of sleep. Will absolutely look here first when we eventually return to Havana!

Highly recommend staying here while in Havana - our only regret is that we had a flight and so couldn't stay longer! In a beautiful old (but well kept) house, in lovely part of town (we much preferred Vedado to the old town) the room was spacious and very clean with everything we needed (bonus was the balcony looking out over trees as well). Fantastic hosts who went out of their way to be helpful - eg looking up which terminal our flight went from, great tips on restaurants (especially appreciated that they didn't just recommend their friends restaurants which we found some other hosts did in Cuba). Also recommend the breakfast - delicious with generous portions. All in all a wonderful place to stay in Havana.

Pedro y Tere have a lovely home in a beautiful, calm part of the Vedado neighborhood. Easy to navigate and many good paladares nearby (we recommend El Helecho). also within walking distance to the fabrica de arte. Would absolutely recommend if you are looking to be a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of centro/vieja.

This was a well situated residential neighborhood with wonderful hosts who accommodated all of our needs. Pedro and Tere were so warm and friendly and went out of their way to make our Cuban experience first rate. Pedro's help with arranging transportation was invaluable and stress free for us. We highly recommend their casa and hospitality and hope to return to Cuba in the near future.

Our stay with Pedro and Tere was wonderful! Pedro was very helpful with arranging taxis, and he and Tere were the kindest and most welcoming hosts we met in Cuba. Their home is in a good location in Vedado, not far from a main road and good restaurants and bars. The neighborhood felt very safe, even late at night. It is a 45-minute walk or a 10-minute taxi ride to Old Havana. A great place to stay when checking out Havana for the first time!

This Casa conveniently located in the central Vedado neighborhood was a wonderful entry point for our Cuba visit. Pedro & Tere are gracious hosts offering a clean and comfortable accommodation. The excellent breakfast they provide will fuel you for a full days activity while in Havana. These hosts were always available to answer questions, provide suggestions and helpful with all things one needs navigating this facinaring city.

A good size room, and much kindness from the owners! The location is good, and within walking distance of Ruta bikes, if you want to go on a bike tour :-) There are a number of places to eat & Pedro will tell you about them! I did not fancy the Retro, as it was more European and higher prices. There is a local bakery around 23rd & 2nd or so, for yummy sweet buns and local honey - a bargain!

I study in Brazil and I use airbnb while traveling around the world.
I´m also announcing my parents' apartment in Havana, Cuba.
My parents (Pedro and Tere) have no access to internet there, but we have rapid and effective ways of communication. This is quite exciting for them!
