The space
Recently refurbished by skilled local artisans, this exquisite and spacious apartment is bathed in the soft, natural light that artists cherish. Perched directly above the beach, the living room offers breathtaking panoramic views—especially enchanting at sunset, when the sky transforms into a canvas of rich hues, or in the early morning as gentle sunlight illuminates the harbour and charming town below.
Nestled down a peaceful, picturesque alleyway, a flight of steps leads to the elegant front door, adorned with a distinctive fish-shaped knocker. Step inside to a welcoming, spacious hallway featuring a practical Mud Room, ideal for storing beach gear and wetsuits.
The three beautifully appointed bedrooms occupy the lower floor. The master suite boasts a stunning marble en-suite and sweeping views over the southern Firth of Forth meeting the North Sea. The double bedroom shares these captivating vistas, while the twin bedroom, perfect for children, overlooks traditional North Berwick gardens and quaint homes. Both the master and double bedrooms offer a curated selection of books for quiet moments of relaxation. A generously sized family bathroom with bath and shower completes this level, alongside convenient laundry facilities.
Upstairs, the expansive living room and well-equipped kitchen—including a Nespresso machine—await your arrival. Floor-to-ceiling picture windows frame the stunning seascape, filling the space with light and offering uninterrupted views. Plush, inviting sofas provide ample seating, while the grand oak dining table, paired with comfortable padded chairs, is ideal for elegant dinners or casual gatherings with family and friends. Guests will be met on arrival, shown around and keys given. This is an ideal time to ask about the area.
On arrival please ring the doorbell or use the fish knocker, give us time to reach the door as we could be upstairs.
Other things to note
From the middle of April (date has not been decided yet by the council although they are talking the 13th or 16th of April we have heard), East Lothian Council are bringing in parking charges payable by cash or card at the parking meters. It hasn't been confirmed but we are hearing rumours that it will be free for the first 45 minutes and then once payment kicks in you will be able to pay for the whole day in one go, but until we have it confirmed by the council, no one knows for sure. I will update this as and when i have the information confirmed,.
There will be no free parking except in residential areas that are not close to the town centre. (at least a 20 minute walk from the centre),
For those guests coming by public transport,. there is a railway station with frequent trains to Edinburgh and plenty of buses that go to local villages as well as Edinburgh.
