We very much enjoyed our stay at Anne and Jean-Charles’ Cabanon. It’s a delightful place and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility, and the cats and chickens who came to visit while we were having a barbecue outside! Anne and Jean-Charles gave us a friendly welcome and plenty of advice on exploring the local area (Anne’s English is very good) including great restaurant nearby, the Rouge Guinguette, and their hospitality extended to leaving us breakfast for the first morning and Anne gave us a lovely jar of home made jam which we’re still enjoying at home - thank you very much Anne and Jean-Charles and I hope we can visit again.

Ann was superb, very sweet lady. She provided us with food from her garden, which was a very nice touch. Ann caught up with us on a daily basis, and gave recommendations n where to go and what to see. This was a tremendous bonus- as we went to several markets and a delightful restaurant. The cats and chickens made me felt at home and very comfortable. Fabulous host!

The Provence in the spring is wonderful. And in the garden of this small but cosy house you can experience it well. A great location to visit the sea, the gorge, to walk and to do nothing and just relax. Jean Charles and his wife (i'm so sorry - i'm terrible with names), are the best hosts. I do plan to come back some day.

Anne and Jean-Charles are fantastic hosts! They are welcoming, warm, accommodating, and generous. Le Cabanon is well-equipped and if there is anything that you need, just ask Anne! She is always happy to help. You can prepare simple meals because there is an induction stove and a microwave oven, along with all necessary cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. The gas grill was also really easy to use. On our arrival, we found supplies for our first breakfast which was appreciated, since we had arrived on a Sunday, after all shops had closed. We especially enjoyed 6 cats and 6 chickens:). While there is a small supermarket in Jouques, about 10 km away there is a much larger, very well-stocked E.Leclerc. At night, the area is dark and quiet, perfect for star-gazing.

We spent a wonderful weekend in Provence experiencing the food, market, charming towns and the heady sights and scent of Lavender. Anne and Jean-Charles are warm, charming and attentive hosts who made us feel very welcome and thanks to Anne's tips on what to see, where to eat and where to park, we were able to spend a perfect day in Aix before our return to Zurich. The Cabanon was cozy, comfortable had lots of outdoor space to enjoy the cool evenings - It was perfect for a couple. Although we did not cook during our short stay, the kitchen was well-stocked for longer stays. Our only regret is that we did not get time to explore Jouques or to take up the opportunity for a late night swim in the pool which I imagine would have been perfect after a long hot day...I guess there is always a next time and we look forward to that:)
