- Our house is set in a tranquil wooded setting off an unmade road. It is very near to Chailey Common, the Bluebell Railway and Sheffield Park. It is also close to the Ashdown Forest, the South Downs, historic Lewes, and buzzing Brighton. There are lots of country walks and friendly pubs nearby. You’ll love the house because of the quiet garden in the heart of the beautiful Sussex countryside. The two bedroom annexe has a large main room with well equipped kitchen/lounge/diner. There is a cosy woodburner, table and 4 chairs, and 2 double sofas. Upstairs there are 2 interconnecting bedrooms and a shower room. We ask guests to kindly make sure that the front gate is kept closed as there are large numbers of deer in the adjacent woods who love to eat our plants!

It was a great pleasure meeting Sarah, she was really kind and helpful. It felt like we already knew her, very friendly and nice. The place was perfect for us and the location beautiful. What a fantastic garden! We'll be back, thanks Sarah!

This cosy annexe has everything a small family needs - two comfortable bedrooms, a small living room including a kitchen. Everything was clean and Sarah was very very welcoming and friendly. It was very quiet at night and we slept very well, and it was lovely to be surrounded by greenery. This wouldn't suit you if you didn't have a car since it's a bit isolated and you will need to drive to shops.

We had a really lovely stay at Sarah's. The garden is stunning and the location of the house is very special. The bedrooms are 'interconnecting' so in order to access the 2nd bedroom you must pass through the main bedroom which also contains the en-suite shower room so if extra privacy is needed then this probably wouldn't suit you.

Our second stay at this wonderful cottage was as lovely as our first. Sarah and Dave were welcoming and warm. The house was cosy and clean. We would change nothing!

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah and Dave's place. You can tell they give their home and garden a lot of love and care. The space itself was very cosy and we decided to stay in and cook instead of going out, because it was just the perfect atmosphere! We enjoyed beautiful weather and were able to explore their amazing garden. There are great walks straight from the house and it was a great location to explore from. Would highly recommend and we hope to be back soon!

Sarah & David are very helpful hosts. The location for two couples or a family of four is ideal. Nicely tucked away in lovely grounds, with facilities no more than a short drive away. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
