This will definitely be my GO-TO place any time I'm in London. Ms. Gene is wonderful, helpful, and so kind! The room was exactly what I needed and her house was close to buses that take you to the metro station, but not to central that it's constantly loud. Absolutely a great deal and a great stay in London. I'd recommend this place to ANYONE!

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the check-in with Bonnie was easy. Gene and Bonnie were both super friendly and helpful. The bedrooms have individual locks and wifi is offered for free. Coffee and tea were offered in the kitchen. The nearby Brixton market has a lot of African and Caribbean influence and a cool rooftop patio shared by a lot of different restaurants and bars. Expect a lot of good food and good times. I would stay with Gene again!

Loved staying at Gene's flat. The location was quaint and quiet. It was a nice to be in a home after traveling around! Would recommend if you are looking to get away from central London. There are neighboring cities like Brixton that have cool hang out spots.

Gene was such a gracious host. She gave me very specific instructions at arrival, gave me a tour of the place and helped guide my trip with travel advice, transit recommendations and food suggestions. She is willing to help with any questions and has maps and insight that proved very helpful to me. Per her suggestion I learned I could take a bus (the national express) to gatwick airport from a stop close to her home for a very cheap price compared to taking the trains as I had originally planned. Gene was also nice enough to allow be to keep my bags over night for an early, early morning departure. She even offered me my bed to sleep what hours I can before heading out. A+ for the host. Her home was also quite comfortable and met all of my expectations. She has multiple rooms she rents out. I got one of the smaller rooms but it was more than enough for what I needed. My trip consisted of constant travel to and fro central london and so I wasn't even home most of the time. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean and fresh. Apartment A. Location. People must note that this is a residential community. It is very quite here and quite refreshing to have from the hustle and bustle of central london. The home is about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. If you are carrying a lot of luggage I would suggest getting a taxi. I found the walk not all that bad but I can see it strenuous if you have heavy luggage. I had one backpack and one checked bag that didn't weigh much. The best way to the city is possibly through the bus systems. Gene's house is close to a few bus stops and affords you the option to take and travel in various directions for various trips to different parts of london. Do note that it usually takes about 50-60 mins to get to the city with a bus ride. otherwise, it is a very affordable and easy way to travel around london. Certain routes also run 24 hours and so I found those helpful for my less gentlemanly days...

I am very sociable, outgoing and charismatic person. I like entertaining and being around good company and in my spare time I love to take part in florist arrangements in which you will see in my home. I have been a host to students for a number of years, which I thoroughly enjoyed and have been privileged to meet people from all different nationalities. I love the theatre and visiting art exhibitions. I love to travel, especially cruising and experiencing different cultures.
