Situated at the roughed north-west coast of Ireland, along the Wild Atlantic Way, nestled in the beautiful hills of the Knader surrounded by lakes, forests and mountains, close to beach and town we welcome you to Basecamp.
Use your stay here as a base for close outdoor activities such as surfing, horseback riding, hiking and canoeing or follow the steps of Irish legends.
If you are looking for a quiet yet very special stay in a nice, spacious room being around nature we are happy to have you!
We are not a hotel, we are not your ordinary B&B, this farm and land is our home and we are very grateful for the privilege to be able to share the beauty and wildness of this wonderful country with friends, guests and travellers from all over the world. Our place is situated right along the Wild Atlantic Way and thus close to all sorts of attractions and activities...Whether you wanna head off after a hearty breakfast with homemade bread and free-range eggs and go ride the waves of the wild sea or swing yourself on the back of a horse, hike the green mountains or canoe the great lakes, go out for some action and do a bit of whitewater-rafting or cliff-jumping, or take it easy and follow the footsteps of famous Irish writers, poets and revolutionaries exploring the country's mysterious ancient and recent history - we've got you covered:)
we are looking forward to meeting you!
the ranch is surrounded by fields and forests and rough terrain..irish weather is unpredictable...suitable clothing is highly recommended:)
Other things to note
we do not have public internet access but there's plenty of walks through the forrests where you'll definitely find better connection:)
however if you do need to check on your e-mails or organise your travels we are happy to help you out:)
we respect and appreciate life in all its forms and we would love to inspire our guests to do the same:)
*SLEEP AS LONG AS YOU NEED TO
there is no check-out times..you sleep as long as you need to recharge your batteries...
we love (URL HIDDEN) fact we have two female ones ourselves...we know that it is not always easy to find a good place to leave your fury friend when you are travelling so if you intend to bring a dog please read the following carefully!
out of respect to fellow guests we do not allow dogs in the rooms, tipis, cabin or the cookhouse...since there is horses, sheep and free running chickens around we want you to have your dog on the rope at all times when at the farm (no exceptions!)..we can prepare a little corner in the horse stables to leave your dog at night..please decide responsibly if your animal can be alone in the dark..if you have a cage to let them sleep in the car..even better..there is loads of endless beaches around where you can let them run free all day - dog's heaven so to say:)
we know that this is not ideal but it's what we can come up with until we get some kennels built..we still like to give people the opportunity to go explore this beautiful land with their four-legged companions:)..thanks for understanding..
*CHILDREN & INFANTS
please be aware that this is a farm which means there is loads of things to explore but also places that can be dangerous for kids left unsupervised..if you wanna come here, discover and teach your kids about animals, history, life and nature you are more than welcome here and we will try to provide to your every need..if however you see your trip here as a time-out from your offspring and a change to tire them out please consider staying at a place that has a fenced off bouncing castle:)
the fairies living on the premises are always delighted to fulfill your wishes if asked kindly
we don't believe in 24/7 WiFi access yet if you do need to check you e-mails or organise your trip, we are happy to help you out:)
