The space
Right by the City of Tromsø, the farm Vartavarhaug - "Hamperokken Lodge" thrives and is beautiful on 1889 acres! A great older farm that has been in operation before but as the house is now, renovated housing with all facilities. Are you alone, a couple, in a team with several friends or a family? The house has everything you need! Equipment for toddler: high chair, toddler bed, children's cup and plate, sled and steering wheel.
The property is surrounded by beautiful mountains on both sides of the valley and no light pollution from the city.
• Popular area and a bustling salmon river in the summer that cruises through the entire valley
• Here is a peaceful large property with a lot of content such as a private campfire under the spruce trees, make a toboggan run? Go skiing? Then you can do it on the backside of the house and there is a great view up towards Middagsaksla which is part of the Hamperokken mountain.
• The property is located at the foot of Hamperokken which is 1404 m above sea level, it is a demanding route and popular mountain and climbing point all year round. In summer, you go there and in winter with skiing.
• From the top you can see 7 different municipalities in Tromsø!
• The northern lights belt and the starry sky can be seen from all directions on the property. In the evening and early morning, it is often a spectacular sight and therefore a popular travel destination.
• and right next to us we have Eiscat: EISCAT is an international scientific organisation that aims to explore the polar upper atmosphere, research station just because of the possibilities of the open sky in the valley.
• Here you have magnificent nature right outside the front door and in the wilderness you can meet moose, foxes, hares and rich bird life.
• An area all to yourself, where you really get the feeling of just being in the place and finding both silence and harmony in tune with nature.
• From the house you can start the trip and take one or more mountain and forest trips in winter and summer. In the area there are many well-known destinations and mountains to climb. We recommend searching online as well and reading about the areas, facilities and opportunities in the surrounding area

You have a complete and cozy home that contains everything. You have a barbecue/fire place for yourselves and a large property to spend the day/evening on.

• EISCAT is an international scientific organization that aims to explore the polar upper atmosphere, this is seen from the farm where you live.
• right at Eiscat there is an easy and nice ski slope that can be used freely by everyone. This trail is prepared by volunteers in the area and is a nice loop up on the hill back in the valley of about 4-6 km.
• Artic route - which is a well-known bike route with many hiking and alpine destinations
• The house is located 15 minutes from the ferry to Lyngen
