Our self-contained cosy studio has good internet speeds making it suitable for both working and relaxing. Well situated with local shops, cafe and pub. You can idle time away reading, walking, or cycling along the pretty country lanes. Your well-behaved, small dog is also welcome to stay. Bring your bike and we can store it for you, or borrow one of ours. Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect before and after your stay.

The space
The Old Forge is Grade II listed 15th century timber framed building converted from part of our home. The cottage is completely self-contained, accessed via coach doors from the street into an open plan living/dining area with a compact kitchenette. Up a curling staircase is a romantic vaulted beamed bedroom with ensuite power shower. We provide luxury soft fluffy towels and crisp Egyptian cotton linen for that extra comfort.

Lavenham, Flatford, Dedham (Constable country), the Stour valley and the villages of Long Melford, Cavendish and Clare are all nearby. The smart shops and Georgian squares of Bury St Edmunds are 35 mins away and the brightly painted beach huts running along the coast at Felixstowe about 45 mins away.

My husband and I run the Old Forge Annexe together. We moved to Boxford with two young children twenty years ago. We lovingly restored our 15th century house including making this independent Air BnB and have been welcoming guests for 12+ years. We hope you enjoy this beautiful area as much we do.
