A curving, dead-end street beside a ravine, an oasis of nature in the middle of the city, close to shopping, steps from a 24-hour streetcar.

The arts and crafts house is quirky but comfortable. It has a long back yard that backs onto the ravine. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor, a bedroom, bathroom and family room in the basement, and a living room, kitchen and dining room on the main floor.

The space

This is a detached house in a good neighbourhood in East Toronto. It's on a quiet dead-end street, but has convenient access to downtown, the Beach and highways. It's a kid-friendly street, ideal for families, but would also work very well for couples and friends.

Guest access

Guests have the entire house to themselves. The kitchen is well equipped. There is laundry in the basement.

Very accommodating, thanks so much for the bedroom switch! Kitchen is very well equipped and place was very clean. A few unfinished Reno's but nothing inconvenient. Steps to basement a little steep but it was great to have the laundry.

Thanks, Genevieve! Thanks for helping out with moving the beds, and for leaving the place so clean. It was a great pleasure to have you and your family stay in our house while you trained for the Olympics. We were rooting for you all the way!

A beautiful home in a quiet neighbourhood close to a ravine! It was a pleasure to meet Don (Carmel's husband) who also invited us to use herbs from their garden and really made things feel like home. Definitely would recommend this host and their space to all other AirBnB'ers!

Don and I are a couple of foodies, which is one reason we love Toronto. You can eat your way around the world within a few miles of our house. We have grown children living on opposite coasts of Canada, and remember fondly the joys and trials of travelling with kids. We hop…
