Welcome to Cairngorm Apartment Two. Located on the 1st floor of a quiet residential apartment block in central Aviemore, away from the main road, walking distance from the railway/bus stations/pubs & restaurants, great views and it's cosy. There's a 47 inch smart TV with Netflix & Amazon Video, and free & fast internet/wifi. It's good for couples, solo travellers, and families. Sleeps 5. For larger groups, you could combine it with Cairngorm Apartment One, just upstairs!

Other things to note

There's a travel cot & high chair, new in June 2016 and hardly used. You'd need to bring a mattress & blankets for the cot.

Room thermostats in each room enable guests to manage heat efficiently, and the state of the art infra-red ceiling mounted panel heaters warm up quickly, making the place cosy after a long day out.

Electricity is paid for on top of the accommodation fee, but that's at the end of the stay (by Airbnb request) and based on guests' own meter readings back to me. There's no messing with coins or trips to the shop in the middle of the nights to top-up an electricity card that some competitors would have you do!!

- Electricity is charged separately (in summer, approx £2 to £3 per day, more in winter, depending on heating use; normally £3 to £6) payable by Airbnb request after stay. Cost is based on guests meter readings at start & end of stay. Instructions for efficient heating usage provided.
- Access is by phone call to me, and remote unlocking or doors. We will need to be in good contact prior to your stay to advise of expected time of arrival, or any long delays along the way, so that I am available and don't keep you waiting. Access on arrival can be 24 hrs with prior agreement.
- this is self catering accommodation, so you'll need to take your own tea/coffee and spare loo roll (there will be one full roll on arrival)
- Saturday check-ins not allowed unless agreed in advance, except for July/August, where check-ins are always on Saturdays
- You must have a mobile phone to gain access to the building
- the block is residential and guests must not make noise that would disturb other residents
- the apartment must not be used for gatherings for non-residents
- guests must leave the apartment as found, i.e. clean and tidy, rubbish out etc
- The purpose of a guest's visit must be a holiday to the area. This property is not available nor marketed for business travel of any kind.

Our stay with two 4-year-olds was very pleasant and minimal hassle. Andy has a great system for managing the place remotely which resulted in an efficient and trouble. -free stay.

We did not meet the host, but we talked on the phone and there were lots of written instructions and guidances around the flat. Wherever a decision had been needed between high tech functionality and coziness Andy seems to have decided for functionality. So in comparison with other Airbnb flats we did not have such a homely feeling, but we found everything we needed, everything worked and we had a good time there.

I can't think of anywhere else I've stayed that has had such comprehensive and easy to understand instructions. With an easy check in process, written instructions for everything and a high tech control system for the heating in the house. Sometimes you stay somewhere and you know it's been done to a budget, but with Andys place you get the feeling it has been kitted out as if he was the one who was planning to live there. No cheap TV's and white goods, good quality broadband and well decorated, it felt more like a home than a holiday let. I could highly recommend it, the locations is perfect for the centre of Aviemore, close to the station and bus drop off, local shops and easy to get to all of the local attractions. Plenty of parking as well, despite being on a few minutes walk to the town centre where parking can be a problem when the town is busy. Whenever we wanted more information, Andy was very quick to respond and I can't really think of anything else that we'd have wanted or that could have been done better. Comfortable enough for sleeping, eating and chilling out in when not outside (which is normally what you come to Aviemore for, the snow, forests, mountains and outdoor sports). Highly recommended!

Spotlessly clean and comfortable house . All instructions were very well written on little laminated notes. A selection of family games and dvds are provided . In addition you get access to Netflix . A 5 minute walk to the Avimore station and Tesco is just oppposite to it . The high street is also just down the road and you get various dining options - Italian , Indian , subway and local coffee shops serving some freshly baked sweet and savoury treats. Parking available just below the house. Can't ask for more !!! Highly recommend It.
