The cottage is near Five Islands Pier and Reed State Beach and has great views of the water and islands. You’ll love the place because of Its 6 acre's of grass and woods with 200' of water. The rustic cottage has a big porch to enjoy the water from and all the amenities you'd need. The Pier has a picnic table and rockers to relax during the day and two kayaks to adventure within the cove. There is a ramp and float down to the water. This is a non smoking home.

The space

There is a outdoor restaurant at the Five Island Pier and there's a great restaurant, the Osprey at Robinhood Cove. Its on the north side of the island off 127. There are signs and a funky garage with antlers on it.

Guest access

There are keys in the cottage but the door will be open when you get there.

Interaction with guests

Don't hesitate to call me if there are issues. I have local people to work on it if necessary.

Other things to note

The right sliders are tight so don't use them. The stove will make a lovely fire but sucks more air out than it warms. There are electric heaters if it gets cool.

We had a great time at Paul's place. The pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the view is! It's a small house but 7 of us were able to stay there for two nights quite comfortably. There's plenty of outdoor space and so much to explore in the area. Paul sent a very detailed email a week before which answered every single question we had. Everything works well so we didn't have to call him for anything.

The house was perfect for 5 adults! Couldn't have asked for a better spot up on the Maine seacoast!

we stayed at paul's home for two nights while visiting boothbay harbor, en route to monhegan island. it's a lovely little cottage, in a GORGEOUS location, but it's rustic (which Paul is very forthcoming about!). the beds were quite comfortable -- and it's a coup to find larger sized beds in a cottage like this --and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal. we all slept well. the cabin could use a little bit of TLC, however. the kitchen sink backs up every time you use it, even if you're using the drain trap, and the plunger conveniently placed under the sink makes me think we're not the first ones to experience this. the back door to the porch only opens on the left and even then it's really sticky. the front door has a screen curtain instead of a screen door and so you can't leave it open without welcoming in the great outdoors which is...buggy. :) the dock is brand new and beautiful and the views of the cove are phenomenal -- we didn't get to enjoy them as much as we hoped to because of the small children in our party threatening to launch themselves off the rock cliff and into the water at every opportunity. overall, we had a great stay and were so grateful to get to visit Reid State Park with Paul's pass, as well! (definitely visit five islands lobster company for dinner if you're able! it's 9 minutes from the house and awesome.)

The house is in an absolutely gorgeous, serene Maine setting and spotlessly clean, with great porches and comfortable beds. Sit in a rocker on the dock and watch the boats and birds! Or enjoy the pass to the beautiful beaches at Reid State Park. We would definitely come back!

This was a fantastic waterfront cottage. The views from the deck were some of the best we've ever seen. Our friends from Maine visited and said it was a classic rustic Maine cabin. They were slightly sad that it was owned by an out of stater. We had plenty of space for our family of four. We had fun trying to get tired of lobster and steamers. We had them every day all week and guess what. We didn't get sick of them. My husband and I loved the kayaks. Our college age girls were happy with the WiFi. Running on the hills was challenging but helped us rationalize all the lobster and butter.

Easy day trips to Reid State Park, Popham Beach, Bath - all were awesome. We enjoyed the Osprey and Five Islands if you want to eat out. Beautiful spot!
