A delightful family villa for rent complete with large private pool.
Open plan lounge/diner. Complete with TV, Sky (basic UK channel package) and DVD player.
4 light and airy bedrooms, master bedroom complete with en-suite.
Kitchen and Utility.
Nia with BBQ.
This is our home from home and we really hope you enjoy it. But please respect it!
There is no need to bring towels, there are a good selection of beach and bath towels. A hairdryer can be found in the top drawer of the middle bedroom.
The kitchen is stocked with the basics. Please feel free to use anything you can find... The only thing we ask is to please replace items as they are emptied.
Toiletries - There should be a selection of shower gels and shampoos etc for your arrival. The local supermarket (directions below) supply most of the toiletries that you'll require. The only product we would recommend you bring from the UK is sun cream. We have found this to be really expensive in Spain.
We have wifi at the villa - swisscable.es_20297 and the password is soper1440
There are a wide selection of UK TV channels including BBC, ITV and many Sky channels including sports. Using the Sony controls turn on the TV. Ensure the source is on HDMI 1. This can be altered by pressing the top left button on the remote control. Using the GI controller make sure the set top box is turned on (top left button). To change channel press the OK button (blue) in the middle of the controller. A channel menu should appear. Use the blue arrows surrounding the OK button to browse channels. Once you've found the desired channel press the OK button again to view.
There is a television on the wall in the main bedroom. This will only display the channel being played on the main TV system. To use the bedroom TV just turn it on!
Due to the traditional Spanish style of electricity supply, occasionally we will get power loss in the villa. If this happens it'll be one of 3 problems! Firstly check the fuse board which is located in the utility room to the rear of the kitchen. This can be found to the left hand side of the rear metal door. Open the panel and check the left hand switch. If this is all fine there is an additional trip switch located externally, directly behind the fuse board. Go out the metal door and you will see a black metal panel. Open this and press the reset button. If this has not sorted the problem it is probably a general power cut... Check the neighbouring villas!
Although the tap water is OK to drink we wouldn't recommend it! It's fine for washing and cleaning teeth etc but for drinking we would recommend Bazoya bottled water. Please can you also use this in the kettle for tea & coffee etc. There should be bottled water in the kitchen at the time of your arrival. Please ensure you leave the same amount on your departure for the next guests' arrival.
You should arrive at the villa to find ample, chilled beer/wine with a selection of spirits and mixers. Please feel free to help yourself and enjoy! The only thing we ask is that you leave the bar area similarly stocked on departure for the next guests.
Spain does not have a refuge collection service like the UK. There are a selection of recycling bins in the utility room and a general waste bin. Due to the climate these can get very smelly quickly so we'd suggest you dispose of your rubbish frequently. The closest bulk bins to take your rubbish to can be found at the bottom of the drive, turn left, then immediately left and they are behind the row of hedges.
Mas-y-Mas. Turn left out of the villa and drive approximately 2 miles up the road. At the first set of traffic lights you will see the supermarket on the left. There is a good selection of fresh fruit, veg, fish, meat and bread. Most importantly a fine selection of Vino...
The gas bottles for the hot water system are located behind the metal door adjacent to the carport. The key for this door can be found under the TV in the kitchen.
BBQ & Hot Water Gas
Please ensure that any gas bottles are replenished once completely emptied. The most convenient place to exchange gas bottles is the local BP petrol station. To find the station - Exit left from the villa drive and approximately 1 mile up the road on the right hand side.
If you need emergency services call the following numbers from the villa landline and quote 1934 with the above address:
National Police 062
Local Police 092
Ambulance Service (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
General problems please feel free to call Marc on +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
Arenal - Main beach in Javea
Exit the villa drive to the right. Follow the road to this first roundabout. Take the first exit and drive for approximately 2 miles (past a number of garden centres) until you reach another roundabout. Take the second exit, which is most of the way around. Continue for another 300 yards and take the first right. At the next roundabout take the third exit (straight across). You should now be on a single track, one way road. At the next roundabout keep right. 50 yards ahead you will find the final roundabout. You have reached the Arenal. To the right of this roundabout you will find the main Arenal car park.
Pebbly Beach at the Port.
To get to the Port follow the route to the Arenal and turn left at the Arenal car park roundabout. Follow the road going straight across the next 2 roundabouts. You'll go over a bridge and will see the Parador hotel on the right hand side. As you follow the bend to the left you should see the sea on the left. Follow this road all the way into the port. As you enter the port take the first exit (right) at the first roundabout. Follow the one way street around to the left and turn right at the junction. Park wherever you can! If struggling to park, follow the road along the seafront and once past the beach you will find a car park on the left.
El Portet - very small. Locals favourite. Get there early!
Exit left from the villa, past the golf club then Mas-y-Mas. Straight at the supermarket traffic lights and keep straight through the lights into the village of Benitachell. At the main crossroads/set of lights turn left following signs to Moraira. Down a bendy road. Straight across first roundabout. Second exit at next roundabout. Straight across at next roundabout. Third exit (left) at next roundabout. 50 yards final roundabout third exit (up and right) signed to El Portet. Follow road all the way to the beach... Enjoy the view!
Acqua - Main car park end of the Arenal. Right hand side of the beach.
Champagne Bar - Almost in the middle of the Arenal.
La Seista - On the main road between the Arenal and the Port. Approximately half way along on the right hand side. Also very nice for early evening cocktails.

Raco Bar - El Portet.
Bar Tango - Drive through the Port, past the car park previously mentioned, follow the road along, you'll see the marina on the right hand side and continue to the end of the road. Park to the left of the roundabout. Bar Tango is in front of you.
Es Tapa Ti - Roughly in the middle of the Arenal.
Raco Bar - El Portet. Safe to leave bits on beach as you can see it from bar.
Bar Masena - Right out of the villa. Just before the first roundabout on the right.
El Posit - In the Port in the middle of the pebbly beach.
Casita De Paco - Traditional Spanish Paella Lunch. Exit right from the villa. Straight across the first roundabout. Continue to next roundabout. You will see a Brico DIY shop on the right. Take the third exit (not the main exit) down a dust track. Follow track around to the right. You can see the restaurant from the roundabout.

Acqua. As mentioned for breakfast.
La Boheme - Opposite end of the car park on the Arenal (there is a smaller car park at the other end near the bridge).
