About this listing

Our comfy, spacious apartment is full of natural light, fun books and knick knacks, and has a beautiful view of the mountain. We are in the heart of the vibrant Mile End neighbourhood. Everything you need is steps from our door, including busses, Bixi bikes and the metro. We live in the building and are happy to let you know our favourite parts of the neighbourhood, Montreal, and beyond.
Bienvenue & Welcome!

The space

Open and airy, this apartment is perfect for a couple or small family to hang out in, cook together, or snuggle on the couch with a book. Its also the perfect spot for those who need to work in a private, quiet space. We love art and collecting and have filled the space with some of our favourite things.

The queen bed and bedding is new and very comfortable. The curtains are darker in this room to help you sleep in :) .
*The sofa becomes a bed that can comfortably fit one adult or two children.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including coffee and a french press or drip machine - although we strongly encourage you to step out and visit one of the many wonderful cafes in the area!

PARKING : We do not have a parking spot for this apartment, but guests do have success finding unpaid parking on nearby streets. We can advise you how to do this, and what the signs mean, so you make sure you are parking in the right place!

NOTES :
This apartment is up 2 flights of stairs.

On weekend evenings, our neighbourhood comes alive. The sound of nearby restaurants and bars can be heard through the windows. Luckily these windows are new, and once closed all sound recedes to the background!

Interaction with guests

Located above our art store, travellers have the extra bonus of being able to drop in with questions and observations (when we are there), not to mention being able to browse locally made prints, posters, cards and books set in a very unique collection of things you won't find elsewhere.

Between the two of us, we speak 3 languages - English, French, and Greek.

We also live in the building with our son, and are available most of the time in case travellers should need something.

Emilie and Billy and Leon are lovely people, and their gallery Monastiraki - Le Petit Monastère is really cool, a fun place to poke around. The location was great, right in the heart of Mile End, walking distance to lots of good places to eat (bagels!). Comfortable bed, nice kitchen, wifi, and, in our case, two beers in the fridge and fresh coffee- what more do you need?

Emilie and Billy's place is really everything that they describe. The apartment itself is very homey-- decorated, but not cluttered, with art and books and stocked with all of the basic necessities, and a few lovely sweet and thoughtful additions. The location is also great; my friend and I enjoyed poking around the shops nearby and walking to lots of cafes, restaurants, and amazing bagel shops every day for breakfast and meals. Finally, as a side note, for anyone wondering, the fold-out couch makes a great bed. I slept wonderfully there for 3 days and I can be picky about mattresses. Emilie and Billy were also great themselves. They are very available in person and by phone and have a seamless method for meeting guests flexibly at whatever time their guests arrive. During our stay, the wi-fi inexplicably went out and Emilie investigated tirelessly to bring it back for us. When it went out again after she thought it had been fixed, she offered us a refund and left us a small treat for our inconvenience. It also speaks to her attentiveness and kindness as a host, as the internet was only out for about 24 hours. If I find myself in Montreal again, I will not hesitate to stay at Emilie and Billy's place again!

Emilie and Billy's place was so charming and comfy, and it's near so many of our favorite spots in Montreal. Everything about our stay was delightful, and we would absolutely stay here again.

We chose this apartment to be close to our son on Rue Jeanne Mance. However it also proved to be perfect for us to explore all of central Montreal on foot from Little Italy down to the Old Port and from the Olympic stadium across to the Canal district. I should add we are keen walkers but this is a good location. The apartment is charming with views of Mont Royale and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. Shops and supermarket are nearby. Emilie and Billy are delightful hosts who live in the same block, keen to ensure you have everything you need and there to help when required. They were also very flexible on Check in and Check out. We would certainly stay here again next time if we come back to Montreal.

Emilie and her husband Billy were wonderful hosts! They left useful welcome materials, made sure we had ac as the weather warmed up and even left us two local beers and some coffee grinds in the fridge. The building was perfectly situation on a main street, but the apartment is in the back of the building and very quiet. You're steps away from excellent food, great coffee, bohemian shopping and, of course, the famous rival Montreal bagel options. Public transit to/from the airport, downtown, the old city etc was very easy. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Accommodating, and friendly, Emilie and Billy could not have been better hosts. Flexible and communicative around check in and out. Could not recommend more.

Emilie and Billy's apartment is perfect for a Montreal vacation. The mile end neighborhood is one of the best in the city, and their place is in the heart of it. That being said, most reviews of apartments in the area complain of noisy accommodations due to the lively neighborhood. This is not the case here! The apartment is situated away from the street and is peaceful and quiet. We had a great time and will be back again.
