Welcome to the garden suite by the sea! Our home is comfortable and family-friendly. Our purpose-built suite is basement level and set on a quaint street just a few minutes walk to the popular Dallas Road beaches and a 5 min stroll to Cook Street Village where you will find grocery stores, bank, pharmacy, walk-in clinic, cafes, pub and popular eateries. Downtown is a 20 min walk and we are steps from the bus route. Come enjoy a home away from home. Please read detailed description below.

The space

Our self-contained two-bedroom suite is comfortable and private. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you could need for preparing and cooking simple meals. One double bed in the master and two single beds in the second bedroom. High-speed wireless internet available for your convenience. JBL phone/ipod speaker in living area. Washer/dryer in suite.

Guest access

The suite is completely private with a separate entrance. The suite key will be in a lock box and I will provide a code a couple of days before your arrival. One driveway parking spot available right outside your suite. Additional free parking available on the street. If you do have visitors or a second car please ask for best spots on the street to respect all neighbours.

Interaction with guests

We are a friendly family of four living on the main floor of the house and love our city! We are happy to answer any questions regarding your stay. The suite has a binder listing local attractions, amenities, best eateries and some of Victoria's best-kept secrets.

Other things to note

Our suite is just around the corner from vibrant Cook Street Village where you can grocery shop, treasure hunt in antique shops, visit lively eateries or dine al fresco at a sidewalk cafe. With the Pacific Ocean just a couple blocks away and beautiful Beacon Hill Park, Fairfield is the place to be. Downtown Victoria is an easy 20-minute walk.

Our suite was purpose-built in 2005 and is in a 100-year-old character home. ***One quirk to mention is that the shower/bath was built with a dropped ceiling so it is about 6'0 high.*** Jody, who is 6'2 showered in it for two years and didn't seem to mind bending his knees a bit, but it's not suitable for everyone. If you are 6'4, this will not be comfortable for you.

We enjoyed staying in Michelle & Jody's home, it was very clean, roomy, well equipped and in a great location. The hosts were very friendly & we appreciated the tip about sea lions to be seen just down the road. Victoria is a lovely place with a lot to offer. Thank you so much for an enjoyable stay.

Michelle and Jody were super helpful and we had a lovely time at the apartment. It is in a great location, right next to the sea one way and near a really lovely row of shops and restaurants. Also really easy to get into town. The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. A great place to stay for families with kids in particular!

Our family of four stayed at Michelle and Jody's garden suite for three nights. The home is located within a lovely residential area, an easy stroll away from several good restaurants, shops and the beach. We walked everywhere whilst staying here; into Victoria city, the harbour and Beacon Hill Park. The suite is ideal for a couple or a family; clean, well equipped and nicely decorated and furnished. We felt really at home and comfortable as soon as we walked in, and enjoyed the neighbourhood. It was also lovely to chat with Jody, who was really easy to get along with. Thank you for letting us stay Michelle and Jody, staying at your place was a great finale to our 3 week trip around BC!

Michelle and Jody are so welcoming. The house is perfect. Beautifully decorated, homely and a great location. Great for families as next to the extremely family friendly Beacon Hill park. Close enough to wall downtown with kids in tow! A lovely quiet neighborhood but local restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk. In fact it was like village within a city feel. The house is very well equipped and Michelle and Jody were always on hand. If we ever make it back to this side of the world we'd certainly look up this accommodation again. Highly recommended.

We are thrilled to be able to share our suite with travellers from around the world. Before we had children, Jody and I travelled to many beautiful places chasing waves. With surfboards under our arms, we spent a year and a half in Australia, close to a year in New Zealand and a …
