The Blue House is a truly stunning house - it's location is spectacular - situated on the miles of sandy beach in Camber, close to Rye within easy access from London. Finished to the highest standards with bespoke kitchen, Samsung TV, luxurious beds and sofas - it is an ideal escape for a coastal retreat. Designed with style and comfort in mind, this air-conditioned property accommodates up to 8 guests across four spacious bedrooms. Wake up to the sea at your doorstep and enjoy water activities, leisurely strolls through the dunes, or unwind on the deck. If the weather turns cool or breezy, cosy up on the sofa with a good book or binoculars to soak in the view. The house is also equipped with a Samsung Frame TV and an in-built iPad-controlled Sonos sound system—perfect for when you want a break from the scenery.

The downstairs living area opens onto the deck and features a custom-designed kitchen, fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave/grill, fridge/freezer, and a separate drinks fridge. Whether you’re preparing a family feast at the handmade dining table overlooking the beach or grilling on the deck’s BBQ, this kitchen has you covered. Downstairs, you'll find two inviting bedrooms: a large super king (Surf) with a wardrobe, and a twin room with 3ft beds and TV, sharing a double-shower wetroom. A laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, along with a convenient side entrance, completes the ground floor.

Upstairs, the two elegant super king bedrooms (Beach & Dunes) are beautifully appointed, each with a freestanding bath; the beachfront bedroom also includes an additional shower and USB ports by the bed. Expect luxurious white Egyptian cotton linens and tasteful decor in soothing tones that complement the breathtaking surroundings.

This property is the perfect getaway in any season, with a log-burning stove for cosy autumn and winter stays, and sliding doors that open to a private, enclosed deck for sunny days.

Dogs are welcome (additional charge of £35 for up to 2 dogs), but please note the seasonal beach restrictions for pets from 1 May – 30 September.


ACCESS INFO

The Blue House is accessed from the car park via the beach, if you have a 4×4 you are allowed to drive onto the beach and park ONE car in front of the house at the discretion the beach inspector in peak periods (high tides and full beach) . Do not park between the houses as this is owned by the neighbours. there is a car pass that enables one car to park for free in the car park for the duration of your stay. There is a barrier that the beach inspector will put up if there is deemed a risk to beach goers and will prevent access – this is usually at high tide with a full beach or severe adverse conditions.

WE DO NOT ADVISE LEAVING ANY CAR ON THE BEACH IN BAD WEATHER AS THE SALT AND SAND COULD SERIOUSLY DAMAGE THE PAINTWORK AND IT IS ENTIRELY AT THE OWNERS OWN RISK.

Access to The Blue House is across the beach - one (proper) 4x4 may park drive across the beach and park in front of the house (150m) - if you don't have a 4x4 there is one pass for the car park - other free parking is available in Camber but not guaranteed.

Neighbourhood highlights

Just two hours drive from central London, or 38 minutes to Ashford from St. Pancras, Camber is easily accessible with its fabulous stretch of coastline. Our golden sand dunes and beach makes it a great place for families and friends to gather. Children and dogs just love running and jumping in the dunes (and serves as a way to burn off all that excess energy!) Lifeguards are on the beach for your safety during summer months as well.

The beach is dog friendly all year round, however in the summer months, they are restricted to certain parts. Lots of pubs and restaurants will also allow dogs, which means our four legged friends can also join in the fun.

Camber is only a short drive or cycle from the historic Cinque Port town of Rye – wander the cobbled streets and browse in the antique shops, relax in cosy pubs or dine out in the great restaurants.

I love living by the sea, having moved from Portobello Road to Camber was a big upsticks, a family holiday home of my husband since 1952 it was an ideal move when we started our family - yet close enough to London to not miss out! Still a bit of city left in me... but love the expanse of light and space (Rye is a stunning medieval town too) Have the best of both worlds - how lucky!
