Description

The space

The flat (or apartment if you prefer) is situated in a quiet street in south London. It's only five minutes walk away from a Northern line tube station, and ten minutes from Balham rail station meaning guests are less than half an hour away from central London.

The bedroom has a comfortable double bed, a desk, a chair, space for hanging clothes and storing suitcases, a full length mirror, and a large window.

Guest access

Guests have access to the kitchen (help yourselves to tea, coffee, juice), and the living room. We have an extensive DVD collection you can choose from if you fancied a quiet night in, and access to Netflix, BBC iPlayer, and various other streaming services on the television.

Interaction with guests

We're more than happy to interact with guests, or if you'd prefer more privacy that's fine too.

The neighbourhood

This is one of the nicest neighbourhoods in London (probably). Clapham Common is on our doorstep, which is a lovely place to spend long summer days. There are numerous pubs within walking distance (our favourite is The Grove) and Clapham High Street with it's many bars and clubs is always good for a night out if you don't fancy heading north of the river.

There is a Sainsbury's garage around the corner, a Tesco Express and another Sainsbury's Local opposite Clapham South, and a Waitrose about 10 minutes walk away towards Balham station.

Getting around

Clapham South tube station (Northern line): 5 minute walk
Balham train and tube stations (National Rail and Northern line): 10 minute walk
G1 bus, stops outside Clapham South and goes to Clapham Junction
155 bus, stops outside Clapham South and goes to Tooting or Elephant & Castle

Dan's place was great for our stay in London. The location was great, the room was spacious and we were made to feel really welcome. Thanks Dan

I booked the room on behalf of my Mum, who needed somewhere to stay in London for one evening. We were greeted by Dan's housemate Tom, who patiently waited for us as we were running a little late. The flat itself, was well furnished and the room very comfortable. Tom was very welcoming and made sure that my Mum knew where everything was before he left.

Hi, I'm Dan. I'm a videographer and TV producer living and working in London. I share the flat with my friend Tom, who I met at university. We first discovered Airbnb while looking for affordable places to stay during a road trip across the USA. We enjoyed that experience so much we thought we should join the community properly by becoming hosts. We look forward to meeting you!
