Edinburgh Conference Centre, and various Financial Companies are easily reached by walking. Haymarket Railway Station and Edinburgh Tram, which runs from Edinburgh Airport into city centre are close by. ideal for professional woman seeking alternative accommodation.
Guest room is comfortable with king size bed, duvet, four pillows.
Guest room is on top floor of a converted Victorian town house. Please do not arrive with large suitcases because property is up two flights of stairs plus additional internal staircase. Thank you.
The property was divided into apartments in 1922, Property has undergone refurbishment to provide modern facilities within characterful period home.

Guests can access private bedroom and shower room and have use of kitchen for breakfast - cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice and tea and coffee from Nespresso capsule machine.
There is a TV in private bedroom with limited channels.

In close proximity to St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral the West End of Edinburgh has charm like New Town without the demand of getting uphill into the city! Princes Street is 10 minute walk away with Charlotte Square and smart George Street a a few minutes more. Ample choice of local bus transport (see below). City Cab app on mobile phone allows you to book a cab ahead of time.
If planning to use public transport then may I suggest downloading 3 apps to your phone - 1. Edinburgh Bus app., 2 Edinburgh Bus and Tram App., and m-tickets app.: you will find each of these invaluable for getting around the city, from purchasing your tram & bus, including Airline service 100, tickets ahead of time. Edinburgh Bus and Tram app is useful in that it allows you to plan a journey by filling in details in answer to "I want to go to ..."
Other things to note
During Edinburgh Festivals, in month of August, expect the city to be bustling and vibrant with people from all places imaginable. Restaurants are best booked ahead if you want somewhere in particular. Street entertainment can be great fun but allow time to navigate if clock watching.

Retired lady living in lovely West End of Edinburgh. This historic city spoils me with choice of theatre, cinema and concerts throughout the year. In summer months Edinburgh International Festival, Book Festival and Festival Fringe all invite participation which I really enjoy.
