My first AirBNB experience. Left scratching my head in terms of value and environment vs a hotel. Not sure that I would opt for BNB next time. Nice lady owner.

Response from Sally:
Maybe guests should read my other reviews, as I don't know what make of this one! I made sure, as usual that the bedroom was spotless, with flowers, tea, coffee, crisp white bedlinen... I had a beautiful breakfast laid out ready for Pete at 7 am - all I can think is maybe Pete prefers Travel lodges.

Sally was wonderfully warm and welcoming. in the days leading up to my visit, she communicated via email, and was there when I arrived. Her house is a three floor rambling victorian, brick terrace house with lush green garden in the back with a view of the backs of of the quintessential hung tile Sussex houses and the Sussex Downs beyond. If you are lucky and look down at the right time the morning, you may see the resident fox come out from the bushes and have a good scratch. If you are looking for a relaxed, friendly, family feel to your stay, this is the place, from the hallway filled with wellies, the spacious tall ceilinged rooms and hallways filled with bookshelves and old family paintings. The kitchen is kept cozy by the Aga stove, and Sally is on hand for coffee and toast in the morning. Also, 3 minute walk from the train station, and beginning of the main shopping center, and then on to the sea front.

I stayed in Sally's wonderful house for three days, all I can say is wonderful..I had such a brilliant experience, this trip can be my Top 3 travelling experience! I strongly recommend you choose Sally's house if you visit beachy head/seven sisters/the eastbourne sea front. wonderful location, beautiful view, clean room and private bathroom ( everyday bath really comfort me), lovely Sally and her family. this is what you have to choose! (better than a hotel)

Sally was very welcoming and accommodating on arrival and throughout the stay. The room was clean and well presented in a nice neighbourhood with some friendly eating places close by and within easy walking distance of the beach. I would highly recommend Sally's

Lovely room. Comfy bed. Lovely people if you need them, but they are on a lower floor, so it's nice and private. In a quiet residential road that is just a block or two away from shops, good cafes and restaurants and a short walk to the beach. Quite jealous!

Stayed with Sally and her family for one night. Location very central, about 5-minutes walk from the train station, direct from London. The room was exactly as per the listing and you basically have the full upper floor just for yourself. Separate to the room was a bathroom and again separate WC. It was a nice touch to have coffee facilities in the room with fresh milk kept in the baby fridge on the landing area. Sally's hospitality was outstanding, making me feel very welcome. I would definitely stay with her again when next in Eastbourne.

We are a happy family with a very friendly labradoodle. I like theatre and film, tennis, swimming and painting. We are a lively, kind and creative host! We have a grand piano so pianists very welcome to play. Equally, we understand the need for privacy and are sensitive to our guests needs.
