The house is in a quiet and beautiful natural setting behind a very old but still working brewery. We were there in winter so it was lovely sitting around the fire which was warming the house when we arrived. The house had plenty of heating and very comfortable for a family or group of friends, with timber paneling and a separate dining area. The local attractions were in easy driving distance such as the Japanese natural spa bath house, the glow worms at Nemnes with a wonderful walk through a fern tree forest. The high light was coming back to the house and siting a Lyrebird wandering around.

We had a wonderful time in the very picturesque town of Lithgow, and the accommodation was a great place to unwind.

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic! The place is extremly quiet, the cottage was very clean and Jack responded quickly when we had demands. Lithgow is closed to the majour touristic places. We highly recommand this place for a weekend or some vacations. Philippe & family

The cottage at Zig Zag Brewery was really lovely, in a quiet spot. Ian welcomed us and we felt very welcome there. We loved the setting as well as the beer tasting. It was very handy to be able to use the food in the pantry and Lithgow has good supermarkets. The cottage is located in a fabulous spot to serve as base to explore the Blue Mountains - the road to the Glow Worm Tunnel starts very close by. The only thing to notice is that the upstairs room has very steep stairs and my (very tall) son had to go down backwards as the headspace was small.

We had a glorious week at the Zig Zag Brewery Cottage. We were booking only two weeks ahead of the Xmas/NY period and even though they were on holiday, the minute they returned they made all the arrangements. The cottage is in a serene little gully, at the back of a really interesting bottling plant. We couldn't hear any noise and when we went exploring we were welcomed to look around and discuss their work. There was a slight miscommunication about the arrival date, but it was cleared up half an hour after we arrived and we were given some Zig Zag beer and mineral water for our trouble. Would definitely do again. A very unique location and great base for exploring from upper Blue Mountains out to Bathurst and the National Parks.

We had a really great weekend getaway at the cottage with 2 adults and 2 kids (5 & 3). The cottage is at the back of a busy brewery and spring water factory, which we hadn't really appreciated, but if anything this worked to our advantage - the staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome (thanks for the beer!) and comfortable (and for lighting the fire for us!). We had no problems with noise, either from trains or from the brewery. The facilities inside the house were good - we had no issues keeping it warm despite a snowstorm, and the bath and showers are gloriously hot. I'd have no hesitation recommending it to a couple or young family, but it's not luxurious and we found the upstairs bedroom (twin beds) too cold to use in July.

A lovely cottage on an interesting property. We were lucky enough to arrive during the Brewery open day and enjoyed a feast and beer tasting. We were warmly welcomed by lovely staff and host. Our young daughters and little dog enjoyed the cottage comforts and exploring the property.
