The apartment is located in de neighbourhood Bos en Lommer, in the west of Amsterdam. Bos en Lommer has a colourful mix of people. Thanks to the different cultures, there is a variety of shops and restaurants. It is an upcoming neighbourhood for the hip and young, so nice lunchrooms are popping up. We hope you will feel the charm of Bos en Lommer!

Erasmuspark: small neighbourhood park, with good weather a place to picnic or bbq. There is a little teras, Terrasmus, where you can get drinks.
Westerpark: Big urban park. The historical buildings of the former Westergasfabiek (gasfabrics) are now used for cultural events, cinema, cafés and much more. It is great to run or walk around in the park. (the park start 8min walking.
Cinema ‘Het Ketelhuis’ shows different movies during the day. (Pazzanistraat 4, (URL HIDDEN)
Pacific park: restaurant, café and place to dance! The whole day a good place to go. In the weekend you can go there for drinks and after 23h the dancing starts, nice mixed public.
Noordermarkt: Nice saturday market in the west part of the centre. Great to combine with stop at café Winkel43. With good weather you have to queue for their famous apple pie! (10min cycling, (URL HIDDEN)
Foodhallen: Hip indoor foodmarket. (Bellamyplein 51, 7min cycling)
Spaghetteria: pasta bar. Delicious Italian restaurant. Simple and good. We love to go here! (Jan Hanzenstraat 32, 7min cycling)
Café Cook: Good food and nice beers on tap. No nonsense, relaxed atmosphere for an evening out. (James Cookstraat 2, 5min cycling)
Café L’affiche: Small cosy traditional café, with a sunny terrace. (Jacob van Lennepstraat 39, 8 min cycling)
Festina Lente: Small cosy café on a quiet canal. Can by busy and lively on a Sunday afternoon (Looiersgracht 40b, 10min cycling)
Canal boat: Although you may think it is too touristic, we really recommend to go on a canal boat. It is great to see the old city from the water!
