Where you’ll be

Brooklyn, New York, United States

Williamsburg, Brooklyn is a very vibrant and creative neighborhood with lots of great restaurants, cafes, interesting small shops, music venues, parks. It is a real neighborhood, as opposed to some of the business districts in Manhattan, and so has a more warm and lively ambiance.

My husband and I have a contemporary art gallery in NYC. My husband is also an artist who moved from California to Williamsburg, Brooklyn in the late 1980s, when the art community was really developing there. I worked in design in NYC, studied creative writing and anthropology, and now run the gallery with him. Our building is a converted warehouse, very typical of NYC artists' lofts. When not involved in art and writing I like to read, run, ride my bike, and travel. We split our time between Brooklyn and PA. We are interested in sharing our home with responsible, mature people.

During your stay

We live on the same floor as this apartment, though we are sometimes traveling. Our neighbor and partner also lives on the same floor so if we are not there he often is. The building is a large converted warehouse and so each loft apartment is quite spacious (by NYC standards:)!
