Experience a few nights of peace in our Wildflower Suite. Private entrance & tranquil garden. Fresh scones baked each morning. Breathtaking views of mountains. Biking/hiking trails outside your door. An exceptionally convenient place to stay for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, and for exploring both Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
The Wildflower Suite has a bright sitting area looking out on our native garden, a king-sized bed, a 3/4 bathroom, and a twin-sized futon/couch. There is a microwave, small fridge/freezer, auto coffee maker, and basic dining supplies. We provide morning scones, coffee, tea, popcorn and bottled drinks. The adjacent Aspen Suite has a full kitchen, a queen-sized bed, and another bathroom. The two Suites can be combined at an additional charge for a larger or longer stay.
Wildflower guests may choose to spend time relaxing or dining in our covered picnic area, and may use our outside fire-pit with prior authorization depending on fire danger levels. There is a xeric garden and several little desert troll trails within the property fence. There is also a convenient entrance to the Cibola National Forest trails, perfect for both mountain biking enthusiasts or hikers.
Interaction with guests
Julie and Nicholas are very friendly. They live upstairs with their daughter and dog Scarlett, and have alternating work schedules. You may see them from time to time as you are coming or going. If you would like in-person directions or opinions about the area and things to do, please let them know ahead of time and they are happy to greet you. Otherwise, they will leave you to enjoy the space. They do provide every guest with a hard binder containing detailed information about how and where to access hikes, where to eat nearby, as well as favorite area attractions.
Other things to note
Scones baked fresh every morning for you and delivered to your suite at the hour of your choice between 6:30-8:30am. (Special delivery times for balloon fiesta guests can be arranged with 24 hrs notice.)
Checkout is 10:00AM. Please realize our family occupies the space above you and it may be bedtime for our child if you arrive after 7:00pm. We have an old dog who may bark when you arrive. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises, nor are firearms. Please make sure to close and lock all windows before leaving. Water is a precious resource here in the desert, and your conservation is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
