'Curlew' is on the East beach in the lovely Devon village of Branscombe. It has a unique position right on the beach on a raised elevation, throw open the balcony doors and you are looking out onto the ever changing sea and stunning coastline which is a World Heritage site and area of outstanding natural beauty. There are two fine pubs supplying excellent food and locally brewed ales in the village and amazing cliff path walks East or West.
Living as close as is humanly possible to the sea, without the movement of a boat! The Chalet is actually on a raised platform on the beach, the French doors open onto a balcony where all you can see is the ever changing water and sky.
Open lounge with balcony, two bedrooms (one double one with twin singles, further sleeping space in lounge) a bathroom with power shower and bath, toilet and washbasin plus heated towel rail. New Kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and fridge, sink and sliding table to create different space for large or small groups. Table and chairs to eat outdoors too.
Interaction with guests
Always available either via messaging or telephone.
Other things to note
The steps to and from the Chalet are quite steep, access can be gained from the rear if any mobility difficulties.
Please make sure the Chalet is as clean when you leave as it is (or should be) when you arrive. There are cleaning materials under the lounge seating near the kitchen entrance and a Vacuum Cleaner in the front bedroom. (There is a cleaner but due to the shortness of some Air b&b visits it is impossible to deep clean between every visit.) Please let me know of any problems with cleanliness.
Rubbish needs to be taken either to metal bin at top of path to the field or, if it's not there, the bins in the car park.
Please also supply your own Duvet covers, bottom sheets and pillowcases, also towels. There is one double, two singles and sleeping bags are suggested for the sleeping arrangements in the lounge which involve use of the flat sofa cushions placed together.
