The space

My house, casa Hospital is an old farmhouse, one of those remaining in this picturesque sloped village in a hidden valley of the so called pre-Pyrenese.
It occupies 600 square meters which have been restaured respecting it´s agricultural past and has a garthen with two terraces offering great views of the surroundings since it´s built in the upper part of this steeply sloped village.
Aguinalíu gives acces by dirt-roads to the "sierra de Carrodilla", an unspoiled hilly ridge with almand and olive orchards where you can hike and bike for the whole day sometimes coming across similar villages.
At the entrance of the valley you´ll find and artificial lake where the Esera and Isabena rivers join and the provinces capital Graus is ubicated at 14 km. They have all kinds of shops and offer various out -door activities: rafting and climbing are specialities but also cañoning and the like. I personally do a lot of cycling on and of road and very much recommand this area for the adapts.

Smoking is not allowed inside but there is a roofed terrace and a garthen where smokers can find solace.

The house doesn´t offer any luxury and equipment is pretty basic. We don´t have telephone, internet nor television.
On the other hand peace and quite in a rural setting and lots of sun and willdlife are garanteed.

Wow - this is quite a place! It's in a village that was mainly abandoned decades ago, with a few original residents remaining but most houses crumbling down. It has an amazing atmosphere and is in the most beautiful valley - overwhelmingly peaceful and with some great, simple walks. The house itself is as Ate describes - very simple, but full of character. It's old and rustic so isn't 'perfect', but if you care about that sort of thing then this isn't for you. Don't fear the composting toilet - there is no smell at all. It's worth noting that Ate lives in the attic of the house, access to which is through the bit guests stay in, but he passes through discreetly. Unless you want to chat of course, which I'd recommend as his story and the story of the village and house are interesting ones. Good swimming in the lake 5 minutes away, great swimming under an hour away. We were there with kids of 5 and 3 years and they loved it. For us, it was without doubt the highlight of our holiday.

If you love peace and quiet in the heart of nature, this is perfect! The view over the mountains is absolutely fantastic. The house has been beautifully restored and is really nice for a large family. To find the place, follow Ate's instructions to the letter and beware of satnavs that might take you to the wrong place!

Ate was very helpful on the phone after we got a little lost quite late at night (10pm or so), and when we arrived near the house he came down to us and directed us to the house. The house is in a beautiful, VERY secluded location, and is extremely tranquil and peaceful, and Ate is kind and understanding. If you are looking for a quiet night with beautiful morning views, this is a great stop.

Ate's house is a beautifully restored 'cottage' in a stunning environment (on a GR route). Although the village is secluded and some of the houses are inhabited, there is a nice little village -Graus- with all amenities at driving distance. We stayed on the second floor of Ate's house. The central living room had two big windows overlooking the mountains, and was adjacent to a kitchen, a bathroom, a study (which we didn't use), stairs going from the front door at the bottom of the the house and all the floors above (also giving access to the fridge which stands in the original cool-room area) sleeping area. The sleeping area had two separate areas with two double beds and had access to a private terrace, again overlooking the mountains, which was a fabulous place to sit and relax/read. Ate has his own kitchen and bathroom on the fourth floor. We absolutely loved this place, the serenity and the away-from-it-all atmosphere and would love to come back.

Ate is a really nice and interesting person, he was really very kind and friendly with us. The house is at the top of a very peaceful traditional village where very few people still live nowadays. Everything is really quiet and relaxing. I definitely recommend the place and Ate for those who like nature and peace.

If you need the silence for sleeping as me, this place is for you. Very quiet and natural. Beautiful old house with old Spanish style. Good beds. The last access on the stones way with a slope can be difficult with low vehicle.
