An entire 3 bedroom Victorian house is available and can accommodate up to 6 people. Features include a wrap-around front porch, second floor sleeping porch and back deck. Located in the village of Catskill, near the historic Thomas Cole house, just across the river from trendy Hudson.
Beautiful Catskill mountain views from the kitchen window, back deck and yard, proximity to the Hudson River, multiple hiking trails, waterfalls, swimming holes and many interesting nearby villages including Woodstock, Hudson and the historic homes of Hudson River school painters Thomas Cole and Frederick Church (Olana).
Guests will have access to the whole house, first and second floor (3 bedrooms), front and back yards, two porches, back deck and charcoal grill (seasonal). Well stocked kitchen with dishwasher, gas range, oven and microwave. Washer and dryer available to use. There are 2 bicycles available to explore the village.
Interaction with guests
We will not likely interact in person but our next door neighbors Margaret and Robert can be relied on if any assistance is needed. I have a detailed list of instructions for all of the most important things you need to know about the house.
Other things to note
-The base rate is for a couple occupying one bedroom. There is an additional per person per night, and/or per bedroom, charge because it is more work to clean and do laundry if more than one bedroom is used.
-Three night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
-One week minimum stay during July and August.
Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and one bedroom has an XL twin bed. --I also have a very comfortable queen-sized air mattress that is easy to set up. If you use the air mattress, please deflate it and put it away.
-I have a TV monitor with Roku but no cable.
-I am happy to share my home with anyone who treats it with respect and consideration.
-You are expected to clean up after yourself and be responsible for anything broken or lost.
-Pets are permissible only with prior approval and an additional $50 fee. Guests are expected to clean up their dog's waste from the yard
-No access to attic.
