The space
Valley View is one of our most sought-after log cabins for Christmas and the ultimate winter getaway in the heart of North Yorkshire. Available only for select weeks between November and February, this exclusive lodge offers a luxurious festive retreat, perfect for celebrating with family and friends in style.

Step inside this five-star escape and discover a stunning blend of elegant design, high-end features, and breath-taking panoramic views. The spacious open-plan living and dining area is at the heart of the home, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that frame the rolling Yorkshire hills. Stay cosy with underfloor heating and a roaring wood burner as you unwind on the oversized sofas.

The lodge comfortably sleeps 8 guests across four beautifully designed en-suite bedrooms, each with a walk-in shower and freestanding bath – including a stylish copper tub in the master suite. Picture stargazing from bed, curling up under plush throws, and waking to countryside views from your own private retreat.

After a day exploring the Yorkshire Dales, return to one of the top luxury log cabins with hot tubs in North Yorkshire. Soak in the Villeroy & Boch hydrotherapy hot tub, wrapped in a fluffy robe, with a glass of something special in hand. There’s also a fire pit and BBQ area in the enclosed garden, making this the perfect lodge for festive evenings under the stars.

If you’d rather relax than cook, we can arrange a private chef experience to elevate your evening – and even take care of the dishes using the two built-in dishwashers.

Guests are invited to explore the grounds at Sun Hill Lodges, home to beautiful paddocks and racehorses in training. You can book a stable tour in advance or enjoy the viewing platform nearby.

The estate is famed for its training of racehorses and offering a welcoming paradise for equestrian enthusiasts. It is also a popular luxury escape for friends and family looking for some classic country living whilst on a UK break.

Nearby is the market town Leyburn, offering everything you need within 4 miles of this holiday home. There is everyday shopping, boutiques, pubs, and tearooms. When stocking up for food, head to the award-winning Campbell's of Leyburn; a family-run supermarket and wine retailer since 1868. A mile down the road in Constable Burton is a popular bar and restaurant The Wyvill Arms. The bar is atmospheric in winter with a roaring fire; an ideal spot for any foodie or when you can't decide who's turn it is to cook! In the area, we also recommend The Saddle Room restaurant at The Forbidden Corner, and the delicious award-winning seafood menu at The Wensleydale Heifer.
