The apartment was well located. On the border of 3 districts. The area is relatively safe. The apartment itself isn’t bad. It’s quite spacious. The only thing that really, really bothered me was the mould. The whole apartment smells of mould. My windows were open all day long, fr…
Response from Wilfredo:
Hello Mina. It was nice to have you in our apartment and we are glad that overall you had a nice experience. The one thing that we think you could improve is communication. During your stay you never reached us about any concern that you might have, and we made sure we were very easy to reach. When you moved in into the apartment it was not winter yet. Weather was nice and humidity was not an issue. When guests arrive during winter we explain very clearly that Lima is an extremely humid city, we can get to 99% humidity levels. That means that the problem that you had in our apartment, about mould on some walls, shoes or suitcases is not a problem of our apartment, is a problem of the entire city. I have the same very problem at my home and every home in this city as well, specially in areas close to the sea. We fight mould by constantly ventilating, but also by cleaning walls, wooden and leather stuff because mold grows almost everywhere. The same for every single house in Lima. We have other ways to fight mould as well. For example with some cleaning products specific for mould or with dehumidifiers. Unfortunately we didnt hear from you about this, so we were not able to advice you on how to prevent mould in the house. Believe me, Limeños are very good at that. We do think it is about time to change the paperwall though, it was not so bad when you moved in. Lima´s winter is luckily very short, and it is the only cold time here. I wouldnt say that fall and spring are cold. I think you didnt spend enough of the fall here and the spring has not started yet. Unfortunately most of your stay was winter. Perhaps you should have researched a bit about the weather in Lima, and its extremely high humidity levels during winter and the ways to fight it, before writing a bad review to the activity we support our family with, because a problem the entire city faces winter after winter. We will take the best from it though, and see the ways to give a better service to our guests. Best of luck.
Wilfredo and his wife Giuliana are extremely nice people and are very responsive to your needs. The apartment was essentially brand new, so there were a few odds and ends that weren't in the apartment upon our arrival, and they brought them over immediately. Giuliana also called …
