The space

Your living area looks out of large windows onto the beautiful gardens. We feed the wild birds at 7- 8am each morning. There are often 5 different types of parrots as well as the babblers, bower birds and crested pigeons at feeding time. You are welcome to wander through the native bushland and sit on one of the huge granite boulders to watch the water birds on the lake and in the natural wetlands.

We enjoyed a nice weekend at Stanthorpe. Kids enjoyed the pool table and table tennis.

The Cottage is a lovely, quiet and private place to stay. It's very close to Stanthorpe and all of its attractions. Robert and Louise are excellent hosts, they met us on arrival and left us alone after that. The cottage is small and tidy with electric heaters, unfortunately there is no wood fire place, but the place was still warm. There are plenty of open spaces, large granite boulders and a big dam to explore. I'd recommend it for families with young kids, there's lots of wild life for them to enjoy.

A good option when staying in Stanthorpe. Hosts were very easy to communicate with.

Most beautiful setting! Lovely gardens, lots of birds. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Amenities good. Nights quite and bed and pillow cosy. Our hosts were accessible but not intrusive. 5 minutes into Stanthorpe. Couldn't have been better. Thank you Louise and Robert. Would love to return one day to this beautiful place.

We stayed a week in Saba cottage and easily could have stayed another. It feels like being in the middle of nowhere - quiet en peaceful - but Stanthorpe is only a few minutes by car. Lots of walks in NPs and also wineries really close. The nights were freezing but the cottage was nice and warm. We wish Robert and Louise all the best with the setup of their retreat and hope to come back soon.

Everything was fine & pretty well as we expected. The cottage was heated nicely. The drive in gate took a little to negotiate & exiting on foot was also a little tricky but no dramas. All went well.

My children and I had a wonderful time at Louise and Rob's cottage in Stanthorpe. It came up just at the last minute before my weekend in Stanthorpe approached. They greeted us warmly and explained how everything was. They left us alone but were always a text message or phone call away. Even though it is in chilly Stanthorpe, we were warm the entire time; the heaters did a wonderful job. We had the most pleasant sleep on the comfortable mattresses with flannelette sheets. Everything I needed to cook with was in the kitchen. The water pressure in the shower was wonderful too. It is a lovely part of the world and I would love to go back again some time.

My wife and I are semi-retired nature lovers. We bought this property in 2014 and we are developing it into a retreat for stressed out people to come rest, relax and rejuvinate. Soon we will be holding Diamond Success weekend workshops to empower people to live their life to the MAX.
