About this listing

The room has got high quality pillows and mattress, 1.50x2m ( I will set a single bed for a third person if required), a big window (two double glazed windows ) . My place is close to Nuevos M. train station, Maravillas Market (one of the 5 top markets in the city) and La Dehesa de la Villa´s park. You’ll love my place because of the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space (two patios) and the light. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends (pets).

Description

The space

It´s got wooden floor

Guest access

Kitchen, bathroom and living room are for all (my and airbnb guests). The terrace and the patio are also for everyone, everytime you are not loud please (the noise goes up to the neighbours windows easily), for smoking I guess you will use it.

Interaction with guests

I will be available to give some tips or suggestions about turistic places as well as typical spanish places.

The neighbourhood

This street makes you feel like if you were in the caribbean countries, all kind of sothamerican restaurants offering their beautiful dishes. Getting to Santa Engracia street ( 3 min away, where the round about is to the left), there are typical spanish restaurants and pubs, nice and beautiful. There are three supermarkets but what I Suggest for you, is to check the old market Maravillas, where they sell fresh groceries, fish and meat, also the goodies, spanish cheese, and bakery (down to the next street Calle Hernani)

Getting around

there are three metrolines (1,2 and 6), walking towards the round about, to the left from my building door. Also, there are bus stops at the round about, at bravo murillo street and raimundo fernandez Villaverde street where you can get a bus to any part of the city quickly and handy.
When walking down to the right from the building you will find the train station in 7 minutes, Nuevos ministerios train station. At Raimundo Fernández Villaverde avenue (the one behind Calle Artistas) you will see the old Hospital San Maudes from the 20th century. For the football supporters, you can go to the Bernabeu Stadium in some minutes ( metroline 6 Cuatro Caminos-Nuevos ministerios and transfer to line 10 Nuevos m.-Bernabeu)

On a Saturday night, Cuatro Caminos is a busy part of Madrid, easily reached by Metro, and it's a fair starting point for a transfer to the airport, which isn't served by its usual connection at present. Milena was away when I stayed, but in combination, her mother and housemate were generous with their advice and patience when I arrived a little later than planned. I was around only for a night's sleep, and had to leave early on Sunday, but it was good to have a comfortable quiet and clean room, and if I'd stayed longer, I think the terrace would have been appealing in daylight. Thanks Milena for a sound night's sleep. This guest is a happy one.

Milena was an excellent host! She was very helpful with anything I needed and extremely nice. The room was clean and spacious as well as the rest of the apartment. It was such a nice place to stay in with a patio outside, very quiet. Right near the train and extremely convenient to easily get to the center. I recommend it!

I love travelling and hosting people, started when I went to Manchester when I was twenty just hosting friends and friends of my friends as a hobby. I really liked it, then in Madrid I thought it could be a good idea while I´m away. I like cooking, going to the cinema, watching series and going out to have some cañas and tapas round Malasaña. I had some guests already and both wanted to extend their stay, I hope that happens to me when I need an airbnb host for my first time (it might be soon) Hope to meet you soon in Madrid, cheers Mile.
There is flexibility when getting into the flat, I might be away and have to arrange someone to open the door for you and provide the keys, I will always try to do it asap for your good. There was some days it was dust on the floor because I wasn´t around in Madrid, to be honest the house was pretty clean and everything tidy so no worries, also from now on it will be all clean (summer holidays kind of a messy life) you won´t regret coming over to enjoy Madrid city :)
