The space
Orchard View Cottage, is one of two cottages that make up Coastal Farm Holiday Cottages on our Dorset coastal wild flower Farm. Overlooking a two Apple Orchards. Minutes from the beach. A quiet spot for nature lovers. Orchard View Cottage is a comfortable 2 bed, 1 double and 1 bunkbed rooms, with a spacious open plan living/dining area.
Both Hazel Copse and Orchard View Cottages are Ozone Sanitised prior to our guests arrival. Both cottages are open beamed barn conversions in a rural location on our organic wild meadow farm on the Dorset coast. Given this environment, the cottages do have spiders and woodlice. We clean the cottages prior to guests arriving, without chemical sprays and remove all visible spiders and woodlice. However, we cannot guarantee our guests wont find them in the cottage during their stay. We ask our guests to be aware of this before booking, be tolerant of the little creatures when at the cottage and understanding when reviewing their stay.

Guest access
Outside your cottage there is a lovely terrace to sit and while away the hours and a gentle spot to watch the sun setting over the fields and hills beyond. If your with the family then the children can play and kick a ball around in the large grassy area next to the orchard which has a barbecue area and a shed with some outdoor toys they can borrow. The farm is seeded with a slow growing wild flower and grasses mixture which is a slow growing organic hay crop. This is criss crossed by footpaths that you can stroll through to reach the Lagoon or picnic with a beautiful view over our meadows to The Fleet Lagoon, Chesil Beach and the Sea beyond.

The Farm on your doorstep:
About 13 years ago we re-introduced many of the indigenous wild flowers and grasses back into this part of the Dorset coast line. Re-seeding our entire farm (70 acres). At that time it was one of the largest land-reversion projects of its type on this coast. Sitting on the edge of this, overlooking the Apple Orchard is Orchard View Cottage a barn conversion tucked away at the end of a leafy 'no through' lane, in the former courtyard of Ivy Farm. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. As well as the long lazy walks over the farm there is plenty of space just outside the cottage for the children to play and kick a ball around. You can sit under the apple trees, sipping a cool drink on a hot day or take a stroll through the meadows on the farm to the Fleet Lagoon, which is one of the few natural Lagoons left in the world.
