The house is huge and spacious for big family or groups.location is great easy to get downtown at a walking distance. The basement was humid and cold even with a portable heater .this house is on the market and it was obvious to me that owners don't want to invest in it, because lots of basics were not provided:toilet paper, shower carpet, dish cloths, etc. And some bathroom were beautiful but not functional like no shelf in shower! Or not enough hot water for more then 3 people per day! Sinks problems, not draining properly.the kitchen and dining were spacious and well equipped.living room very spacious and comfortable with big tv.

Easy check in process. There were both negatives and positives to our stay. Negatives first - the house needs some basic maintenance, screens missing, a bathroom fan not working, shaky front steps, very dirty BBQ (which we cleaned), no propane and missing light bulbs. Quite a bit of traffic noise on one side of the house. A definite stale odour in the basement. Positives - the house was perfect for our family group attending a wedding, well equipped kitchen, lots of dishes and pans and convivial setting. Location is very good indeed and has access to the riverfront park and easy access to Old Montreal. Parking for two cars at the back of the house. Lots of basic food supplies in the kitchen - sugar, tea, salt, spices etc. Overall very satisfactory.

Nice to be able to walk to Old Quebec. That enabled us to avoid looking for parking. It also means that guests who like to walk or bike could fly in and skip car rental if you mostly plan to stay in the city (great walking/bike path across the street from the house). Open living room/kitchen area is a great place for everyone to hang out together. Spacious well-equipped kitchen made it possible for team cooking. We used the 2 picnic tables in the back yard. Nice fenced-in yard for small kids. We had 9 adults and 2 toddlers there and we had plenty of space.

This house is an excellent choice for larger groups (there are six bedrooms and four full bathrooms). It is attractively furnished and feels like it was recently remodeled. The open floor plan on the main floor in which the living room, kitchen, and dining room are all together works well. Caroline was very positive and pleasant to work with. We only interacted by text messages and emails, but she was very helpful. The house has a good location about a mile on flat surface to the part of the old city at the bottom of the cliffs. It is also immediately across the street from the Escalier du Cap Blank which is almost 400 (396 steps actually, they are numbered on the right end) wooden steps. Going up and down these stairs is a very popular form of exercise for Quebec City residents in their athletic wear. We took the steps several times ourselves and enjoyed the exercise. The top of the stairs are on the Plains of Abraham which provide easy access to the Parliament Building area and to the old city. I definitely recommend this house and Caroline as a host to any large group considering vacationing in Quebec City.
