Located right in the center of Bologna, just steps from piazza maggiore, the train station and surrounded by plenty of day and night life including restaurants, bars, cafes and shopping you're sure to discover what this beautiful city has to offer!
We offer a big private room (12 sqm), separated from the other two rooms in this spacious, open house that sometimes transforms into an art space. Photography, visual arts, theatre and music are all part of the events the space occasionally hosts. We love having guests during our events but we leave it totally up to you!
The house is fully furnished with two bathrooms (one with a shower and the other a whirlpool bathtub), spacious kitchen with snack area, huge living room and a small peaceful terrace where you can relax day or night over the skyline of the city.
Tons of windows and hardwood floors throughout the house add to the hospitality.
In the center of Bologna you can find so much to do: museums, shops, restaurants and bars where you can taste authentic Italian food and wine and experience the culture. Not to mention all of the events and festivals happening in the city all year round!
The location of the house allows easy access to all parts of the city and the residents can help with any questions, issues or needs.
Guests have access to use of the entire house, kitchen, fridge, terrace... Make your self at home!
There's also coffee and teas in the morning. We can give you an authentic lesson in the mysteries of making the perfect caffettiera coffee and or french press!
Interaction with guests
We're here to welcome you and for anything you might need. We often have different schedules so there's usually someone around to chat with, have coffee, water or wine or even a bite to eat! But there's always plenty of space to relax on your own in the house or have some privacy in your room.
Other things to note
Bologna isn't the most well-known city for travelers in Italy but not only does that make it great for getting around without swaths of tourists, it has one of the richest cultural traditions. Just check out the wikipedia page to just how much historical and contemporary activity there is here, especially the Entertainment and Performing Arts section!
It houses the oldest university in Europe still in full function and making it a very lively, young city where you can find university students out ad about in that part of town. It's a UNESCO city of music (there's still a lot and every genre), home of Morandi, weekly open markets, one of the biggest cinematographic cities in Italy.
In the summer there is a mega screen in piazza maggiore with free movies every night, often in English or subtitled. Also check out local concerts in town or the theatre schedules: Arena del Sole, Teatro Duse, Teatro Comunale, beautiful performances with many touring shows in English or without much need.
