Check in was easy, apartment was clean and as pictured. Convenient for the red line. Unfortunately I can't recommend the neighbourhood.

We do live in a friendly and mixed residential neighborhood and if you feel intolerance to any color please skip our listings. Thanks

Worth reading! My sisters and I were driving from California and the landlord told me we will check in with someone else. Upon arrival the manager approached us with her arms cocked up on her hips and began arguing with me because it was 3 adults (I had previously messaged the landlord about this). I calmly explained that there was a misunderstanding with our booking and were willing to make rearrangements but she continued to be argumentative with me. She said she had no space for us and would "put us somewhere else for more money". After much patience in trying to have a civil discussion, explaining we were students, exhausted and only need the place to sleep we agreed to leave a day early but pay more than what was booked. We made a cash exchange and she had us sign a contract and took pictures of our ID's although Airbnb already has this info. I felt like a criminal. She was reluctant to add to the contract that we made a cash exchange. after explaining that I needed it because verbal agreements are invalid unless written on paper she went on tangent about previous experiences and finally agreed to. All of this made us so uncomfortable and unwelcome that we wanted to cancel but they have a strict cancel policy and wouldn't be refunded. She slept in the house told us there were cameras and she could see everything. I will admit The house was very clean, accommodating and comfortable but the experience was terrible. On the last day of our stay police officers knocked at the door looking for a heroin addict that used to live there. They couldn't believe that home was an Airbnb location and that our car was still there. The officer told us that was one of the hottest shooting areas told us to please lock the doors and windows and left. He then came back and insisted that we leave as soon as possible! PLEASE DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE in researching what area you're staying in, landlords will not disclose details about the safety of the neighborhood if it's not a good one ! Great home in pictures but the location, house manager made it such an uncomfortable stay. I understand that as a landlord you deal with all sorts of people and maybe they've have bad experiences but that DOES NOT give you the right to treat people the way this manager/ landlords mom did. Showing respect to all customers and treated them courteously and diplomatically is key for any business to thrive. I do hope this is not an isolated incident and that it does not happen to anyone else again.

Stefon quickly responded to any questions I had about the stay, particularly the check-in and check-out times. He was also very flexible about the check-in times and was available by phone when I arrived. I had to wait about ten minutes outside when I arrived, but the rest of the stay more than made up for it. The apartment is literally EXACTLY as pictured. It is a gorgeous space with a back balcony and the kitchen is really nice with pots and pans and all the utensils you need for cooking. The building is used solely for airbnb which was nice because I ended up having the place to myself most of the time. It is also very secure as literally every door you walk through has a lock with a key you are provided: the gate, the building door, the apartment door and the bedroom door. The apartment is about a 7 min. walk to the train and it was very quick to get around the city when meeting friends. I will be honest that it's not in the greatest of neighborhoods. It's not really one in which you can walk around in and expect to find some nice bars/restaurants/hang out spots. That was fine with me because I was visiting home and was going to be out most of the time anyway and I know the city enough that I felt relatively comfortable if not a bit more aware of my surroundings. However, if you are not used to cities, it might not be your cup of tea. Wi-fi was mostly reliable but went out a couple times, however, Stefon was very responsive when I texted him and replied immediately. I just had to use my phone as a hot spot for a little bit. Overall, great stay and I will certainly consider it for my next trip home.
