All 15 nights, that I spent in Lisbon, Portugal, I lived in this nice room, which was provided by its owner - Edward. A few words about this guy. He is very friendly, communicable and careful. He always asked me if everything OK, always fixed everything that I asked him. The apartment is on the 3 floor, and the room is located on north side of the building, so is is not hot there in the summer. Anyway, you always can close the window by wooden leafs. The room is very clean and contains all the furniture that you need: a bed, a hanger, some place to carry your staff and a lamp to read books.
There is a good kitchen in the apartment. It has all dinnerware, that you will probably will need: different pans, plates, cups, etc. Edward always ask all his guests to kepp the kitchen clean, so anytime you cannot find it dirty or nasty.
About the location. During my staying, I always wanted to go to some famous sightseeings of Lisbon. It is wasy to get to all of them. To get co Cascais and Estoril, you need take the train on the station Santos, which you get by 10-15 minutes walking. To get to Praco do Comercio takes about 20 minutes walking. If you want to go to Sintra and its sightseeings, take the train from Estação de Caminhos de Ferro do Rossio. I got there in about 20 minutes by walking. And finally, when you go home by airplane, probably you will be surpridsed that you don't need to take a taxi, because the airport is in 50 minutes by public transport (bus + metro).
I definitely recommend you to live in Edward's apartment and have a nice time in Lisbon!
