A self-catering accommodation with a 4-star rating from Tourism Northern Ireland, our cottage is located directly across the road from Downhill Beach; it offers visitors unobstructed ocean views on both floors, immediate beach access - a min on foot - as well as a cozy setup that is ideal for a romantic getaway or family vacation. From kitchen appliances, fresh bedding/towels to toys and picnic basket - we have everything ready to make this your home away from home.

The space
At Downhill Seaside Cottage we have an ocean view that is unobstructed by plants, trees and hedging; you can see the sea even from the downstairs bedroom. Along with direct access to a free public carpark and a quick minute walk to the beach, we are favourably positioned compared to most other guest accommodations in the area.

The living room, kitchen and dining area are located upstairs to take advantage of the views out to the beach; the three bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs and beneficial for accessibility. We are a kids-friendly accommodation, with travel cot, high chair, baby toilet seat and stair gate available. For visitors who wish to bring their 4-legged friend, we may be able to accommodate on a case-by-case basis; please contact us directly and note that additional charges may apply.

We supply all bed linen and towels that you will need and also shampoo and shower gel.

This is a perfect family home but suits business travellers - we are just 10 minutes' drive from Coleraine.

This is a quiet location. Excellent restaurants, cafes and bars can be reached easily by car in a number of locations such as Castlerock village, Portstewart, Portrush, Portballintrae and Bushmills.
For those more active there are excellent golf courses within easy reach including championship links courses in Castlerock and Portstewart and the famous Royal Portrush. Surfing, kitesurfing and blo-karting are possible on the beach. Horse riding is also possible.
