My place is close to family-friendly activities and the lake. You’ll love it because of the outdoors space, the amazing views and the wonderful woodland setting. This is a glamping experience with a wild woodland feel. Please note there is no mains electricity, heating or mains water to the site.
The Cabin can sleep 3 people with one double bed and one single.
There is a toilet block and washing up facilities a short walk away.
Have a great stay and enjoy the peace and tranquillity!

The space

A Cabin in the middle of the glorious Fell Foot Woods, overlooking lake Windermere.
Get back to nature, relax and unwind in the beautiful woodland setting with wildlife surrounding. Expect to see deer, owls and a selection of birds making your stay an out of the ordinary experience.
There is a double bed and a single bed, plenty of dining space and a small gas hob outside as well as a bbq with charcoal provided.

Guest access

The toilet block and optional (£5 a day) shower area is a short distance from the cabin like at a campsite. You'll have 24 hour access to the wood with the gate code being provided upon booking.

Interaction with guests

The owner of the woodland will be on sight in case of queries and emergencies.

Other things to note

Please note, this is a low impact glamping experience for those interested in getting back to nature and camping in the woodland but with the extra comforts of a proper bed and with facilities and extras involved. Until it is further developed, there is no heating in the cabin, but plenty of blankets.
Some drinking water is provided but if travelling by car it would be a good idea to fetch extra drinking water as there is no mains on site.
The toilets are a short walk away from the cabin like at a campsite.

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of work life this is the place. So remote and quiet, stunning scenery and lovely little log cabin. Awesome!

Perfect little place for when you need to escape life a little bit, get some fresh air and be Internet free for at least an evening. It's a perfect location, you feel completely off the beaten track but on the other side of the road is a national trust site with cafe etc if you need. My boyfriend and I did some Wakeboarding which was a 20 minute drive away and took a kayak out on lake Windermere.

A lovely secluded spot in some private woods. A great place for a short break and somewhere we'd likely revisit. Recommended if you want somewhere cheap, cheerful and private. cheers!

The price was too high for this very basic accomodation and the state of many items was not good. However, general conditions (bed, cutlery,) were ok. Main drawback are the non-existing (but promised) shower facilities. Furthermore, the guard is not willing to share his shower even though this is mentioned on the description. Nonetheless, if you want a very close-to-nature experience this can be still an interesting option (however it should be at a lower price).

Great escape from the world! Exactly as described and close to so many beautiful things the Lake has to offer. Handy to bring a couple of torches and/or light. Would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cabin in the Woods. It is walkable to Windermere as well as the National Trust cafe. However, it is also secluded enough to feel like you can get away from it all. The cabin is well-furnished and had all the cooking supplies we needed to cook ourselves dinner and breakfast. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you would like to be an adventurer, but also want some home comforts.
