As featured in The Evening Standard, Cool Stay The Little Stables – is a beautiful, rural, converted Stable. People & dog friendly. Set in a delightful quiet hamlet, close to the village of Aldborough (Sunday Times Top 20 villages in the UK 2022)

Perfect for a getaway in beautiful N Norfolk, with or without your four-legged friend. Explore the amazing beaches, historic towns or just kick back and relax.

A welcome breakfast hamper (veggie/vegan tell me) dressing gowns and slippers awaits you!

The space
A stylish converted stable dating from c 1890. All on one level. Quirky spaces, snug corners and open plan living. The little stables is furnished to a high standard with your comfort in mind. Agricultural chic with a touch of luxury awaits you. Comfortable bedding, dressing gowns and your own slippers make this a home away from home.

Surrounded by fields in this small hamlet and once the stables for the main property (next door) it now houses one bedroom, lounge area, kitchen / dining room and a shower room.

We do accept infants but babes in arms. Pre-crawlers ONLY.

If you are bringing your dog I provide doggie bowls and the odd treat. Please remember to tick the “bringing a pet” box.

We do recommend that you take out Travel Insurance even for domestic, UK travel.

Guest access
The whole of The Little Stables is your space with a private, secure, enclosed garden to the front. The garden is laid with shingle and raised flower beds. BBQ, outside seating provided and a bistro table and chairs for al fresco eating or that refreshing cup of morning coffee. I live next door so you may see me passing occasionally.

Other things to note
Property is located down a private single lane with parking for ONE car only size up to 4x4. NO transit vans or mini buses.
No visitors unless agreed prior to arrival.
No overnight visitors.
Unauthorised visitors will incur a £100 charge
Dogs only over 6 months. Dogs must be toilet trained. Dogs can only be left unattended if crated and with prior permission.
No dogs in the bedroom.
No smoking

We have a strict cancellation policy but we are more than happy to provide invoices for your travel insurance company should you need to cancel for unavoidable reasons

Located in the small and quiet hamlet of Thurgarton and yet only 5 miles from the coast. The next village, 1/2 mile away, has a pub, post office and village shop. 5 minutes walk to The Weavers Way. Norwich is 35 minutes drive away and Cromer and Holt can be easily be reached by car in 15 -20 minutes. Perfect base for exploring the countryside, visiting our vast beaches or just relaxing.
The delight of the The Little Stables is its rural village location so a car is needed, mobile reception is spotty as you would expect being rural. Good Wifi is provided.
