Boutique Guesthouse La Casa Mirador is nestled in the historical heart of Vélez-Málaga, surrounded by whitewashed houses, charming cobblestone streets, and picturesque squares, on the hillside of the iconic Fortaleza.
La Casa Mirador is a fully equipped guesthouse with one bedroom. Our guesthouse features a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy the large private terrace with spectacular views over the city of Velez-Malaga, the fortress, the sea and see the sun set behind the mountains.
The space
Upon entering, you step directly into the fully equipped kitchen. From there, you walk across a covered part of the terrace to reach the spacious bedroom and its en-suite bathroom.
The bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed, wardrobe, storage space, and a smart TV with free Netflix and Disney+. The attached bathroom includes a shower, toilet, and all essentials such as towels.
One of the highlights of La Casa Mirador is the large private terrace. Here, you can enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening while watching the sun set behind the mountains. A truly unforgettable view.

5 to 8 minutes by foot.
Busses are going to Torre Del Mar, Malaga, Nerja and more.
Supermarkets, restaurants and shops: Take a 5 to 10 minute walk down to the city centre where you will find several supermarkets, clothing shops, bakeries, cafes, restaurants and ice cream shops.
The neighborhood:
La Casa Mirador is located in the touristically so far undiscovered city of Velez-Malaga. Note that the guesthouse is located in a local neighborhood, which is not touristic, but at the same not far from buzzing touristic areas.
Guest access
Private guesthouse with a private entrance. La Casa Mirador is located in the historical centre of Vélez-Málaga, therefore it is not suitable for guests with physical difficulties. The guesthouse is located on a hill near the castle. In the daytime free parking is mostly available 50-100 meters from the guesthouse. In the evenings and night free parking is available on 5 minutes walking distance. As the guesthouse is located on a hill you will need to take stairs / walk uphill to walk from the centre to Velez-Malaga to the guesthouse.
Other things to note
Guesthouse La Casa Mirador is located above our own house. We have our private entrance and space, just like La Casa Mirador has. For security reasons there is an exterior/outdoor camera located in the street.

*Semana Santa (March/April) – During easter time. Traditional Easter processions fill the historic streets of Vélez-Málaga with culture, music and atmosphere.
*Weekend Beach Festival (9-10-11 July) – One of Southern Spain’s biggest music festivals, held directly on the beach in Torre del Mar.
*Torre del Mar Summer Fair (Feria de Santiago y Santa Ana – 25–26 July 2026) – A lively seaside fair with music, food stalls, attractions and a festive Andalusian atmosphere.
*Noche en Vela – Candle Night (late August) – The historic centre of Vélez-Málaga is illuminated by thousands of candles, with live music, art and street performances. Highly recommended (!!)
*International Air Show Torre del Mar (4–6 September 2026) – A spectacular air show above the beach featuring aerobatic planes, jets and helicopters, visible directly from the promenade.
*Autumn Cultural Events (September–October) – The Feria of Vélez-Málaga, and lots of theatres, concerts and local festivities throughout Vélez-Málaga and the surrounding villages.

My name is Lisa Verbeek, owner of both guesthouse 'La Casa Mirador' and townhouse 'La Casita' in the historical centre of Vélez-Málaga. In 2024, my daughter Sienna and I moved to Vélez-Málaga. A city that perfectly combines coast and culture. I found a unique 2-story house in the old area of Vélez-Málaga, divided into two separate homes, and turned it into my dream guesthouse. With stunning views over town, mountains, and the sea in the distance, it is a truly special place to stay.
