Wonderful host! Awesome place! And one of the best experiences of travelling outside the comfort of our own home. While, our visit was exclusively work related, Celine’s place just made the whole trip feel like a holiday. The house is conveniently located outside the busy Copenhagen – within 20-25 minutes of driving from the city itself – and right next to the beach, which meant that our evenings were quiet and relaxing. There is also a bus station down the street, about 5min of walking, which offers an hourly route to the city. Shops were in driving range as well and we could choose from a variety of convenience stores, restaurants and bakeries. We were also lucky that we stayed there during the warm season, as a lot of the houses around offered freshly picked strawberries and other types of fruits and veggies that you can spoil your senses with. As for the house itself, we all agreed it was a piece of art on Heaven’s plentitude of shelves – heavily influenced by Celine’s charming personality. It was insanely spacious and tastefully decorated, equipped with everything you can think of for a modern house. The place was also very clean and well maintained, which was a big plus for the overall look. It also offered a terrace that you can enjoy during the sunny days… sadly though we didn’t have the time for it. The beds were very comfortable – the kind of beds that even if you’re not sleepy, they’ll make you sleepy – and the living room sofa was a delight for our backs. And to top it all, Celine was an amazing host. She made everything possible to maximize our comfort, at times completely exceeding our expectations. She was always available when we needed to ask her something and her father in law, a charming man, made sure Celine’s hospitality was transferred through him when he welcomed us. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet her, but if that occasion ever arises, we’ll make sure to stand in front of her with flowers, wine and chocolate. Literally, the most difficult and inconvenient part about our trip was that we had to leave the little piece of Heaven at the end of our stay. All in all, it was an awesome experience and I’d recommend Celine’s place to whoever wants to enjoy a quiet and clean Denmark within a modern context and a convenient location. If I was to rate the place, I would definitely go with 10/10 and hack…if any of the world leaders decide to come again to Copenhagen, I’ll definitely suggest this place over a fancy hotel room.
