Listed building from 1909 · 165 m² for 8 guests · 3 bedrooms · Balcony & table football
The space
Welcome to the listed building – 165 m² old building with history
You're not just staying in a holiday apartment, but in a real Bremerhaven landmark:
Hafenstraße 153 was built in 1909 in the Neo-Baroque style and has been a listed building since 1980. There was once a large furniture store here with its own carpentry workshop. After the war, the Americans set up a soldiers' library in the building. Later, everyone in Bremerhaven knew the shoe shop with the Salamander advertisement. The elaborate renovation of the house was awarded a federal prize for craftsmanship in monument preservation – a historic original, not a uniform grey.
Space for up to 8 guests
Behind the listed façade, you will find a spacious 165 m² with three stylishly furnished bedrooms, a large living room and a balcony for relaxing.
The fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired, the table football and the Nintendo Switch ensure convivial evenings, and the fast, free Wi-Fi is ideal for streaming or working from home.
Perfect for families, groups of friends, business travellers or project teams (long-term rates and invoices on request).
In the heart of the Gründerzeit district – everything is easily accessible
The house is located on the historic Hafenstraße, the former main shopping street with its magnificent turn-of-the-century façades. Bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes are within easy walking distance, and the buses in front of the door will take you to the city's highlights in just a few minutes:
– Klimahaus Bremerhaven: a journey through the Earth's climate zones – perfect in any weather
– German Emigration Centre: fascinating insights into the history of emigration
– Havenwelten & Zoo am Meer: maritime flair with impressive views
– Shipping Museum & Harbour Tours: the maritime history of the city by the sea
Whether it's a city break, a family holiday or a longer business trip – here you'll be staying in an original setting.
