The guesthouse is in an ancient village above Mcleodganj - home of the Dalai Lama, with its bustling markets and great restaurants. Because we are out of town, you'll love the peace and quiet, closeness to nature and opportunities for gentle walks or longer treks. We also serve great home-cooked Himachali food. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups. Please be prepared to do some walking to reach the guesthouse.

Lovely place if you want to be away from tourists at McLeod Ganj. A taxi will take you 5- 10 mins walk away. Bavinder is a relaxed and knowledgeable host. I appreciated having a meal ready when i arrived late. Just a small mix up with which room I was in. Would stay again.

The guesthouse was, as mentioned in other reviews, a bit of a walk from proper Dharamkot. However, we cherished the walk and the remoteness of this guesthouse! Bavinder, the manger of the guesthouse, was friendly and responsive to all our queries.

Great place far from the crowds. Lovely view. Peaceful. Note that it is a long walk away but Mr. Bavinder will send someone to pick you up and help carry bags if needed.

Jagatram Niwas is a great place to stay if you like serenity and enjoy being physically active. This was the first time I visited the area and I felt so lucky to have booked this place. It is far from the madding crowd of McLeodganj. Mr. Bavinder's family is warm and welcoming. A…

Thanks for your feedback, Jessica. We're very glad that you were pleased with the value and view. Regarding our location, we do send information to all our guests specifying that we are out of town and that there is a ten-minute walk from the taxi drop-off point. We're glad that you've reiterated this, so that people reading your review will realise they will have to walk for a few minutes to reach us. Best regards, Matthew
