Description

The space

The apartment is separated into two floors.

The first floor has one living room with a sectional couch (it is not a pull-out couch but is comfortable for sleeping), bathroom (shower only no tub), and dining room.

Downstairs is the one bedroom, second living room with additional couch (also comfortable for sleeping, but not a pullout coach), and kitchen.

There is no dishwasher, or central air conditioning, but for the warmer summer months we do setup a air conditioning unit for the lower level for more comfortable sleeping. Fans are also available for the hotter summer months.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire apartment. Because we are located in a multi-unit apartment building keys will need to be coordinated. We always try to be there to meet our guests when they arrive and give them a tour of the apartment, but if that is not possible the keys will be coordinates.

We appreciate clear communication in regards to when guests will be able to check-in so we can meet them to hand off keys, and give them a tour of the apartment. We do coordinate cleaning services as well so guests are asked to check out on time unless communicated otherwise with us.

Interaction with guests

We are happy to provide recommendations of where to eat, local bars, historic sites, etc. and are available to text or call, but guests will be given full privacy throughout their stay and we will never be accessing the apartment.

The neighbourhood

Beacon Hill is a historic quiet neighborhood located in the center of the city. You won't be able to keep your eyes away from all the beautiful older buildings, and pretty flower boxes.

Getting around

We are located within a five minute walk to both the Park Street and Mass General Red Line T stops. We also are a quick walk to the Boylston and Arlington Green Line T stops. But because you are in Beacon Hill you really can walk almost anywhere you would like to see!

Other things to note

For summer guests, there is no central air conditioning in our apartment, however because we are in a brick historic Beacon Hill building the apartment does stay relatively cool, and we provide fans and a window air conditioning unit during the hotter summer months.

Pets are also not allowed in our building complex.

Note, our apartment has two floors, the first floor is the living room, bathroom, and dining room. Downstairs is the kitchen, second living room, and bedroom. The stairs are steep and may be difficult for older couples/kids.

Our apartment is perfect for those looking to stay in the center of the city, in an apartment with lots of character.

We had a lovely stay at Megan's place. Check-in was a breeze and it was a cozy, comfortable home base for our Boston exploration & adventures. Highly recommended!

Megan was such a great host! She was very responsive to messages, and gave great recommendations for the neighborhood. I loved the personal touch of the welcome notes too. The space is small - it was tight with 4 people, but we made it work, just be aware it is small! I loved how "homey" it felt, it was all super cute. The location cannot be beat. We were within walking distance of everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place!

My husband, 16-year-old son and I planned a three-day vacation to Boston to take in the sights. Megan was very helpful before we arrived, providing information on local restaurants, areas of interest, and parking. We had no delays checking in, as she was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived. The apartment was attractive and cozy, and we were very comfortable during our stay. The location is absolutely perfect, as it is right in the middle of scenic Beacon Hill, and within walking distance to many historic sites, great restaurants, museums, the aquarium, Boston Common, etc. Once we parked our car, we didn't need to get into it again until we left the city, which was great. Boston is a very walkable city, and Megan's neighborhood felt very safe. We had a fantastic stay in Boston, and would absolutely stay at Megan's place again!

Megan was a lovely host--she met us at the apartment and was available by phone or text during our stay. Her apartment is divine--the perfect location (with a small mart, Whole Foods, Starbucks and many restaurants just down the street), an extremely well decorated and equipped beautiful space, and everything you need for a great stay in Boston. I looked for a long time before committing to a place and am thrilled I did. We walked all over town and to Fenway from Megan's apartment. Parking was initially one of my concerns for the city in general, but you can reserve and pay ahead at the garage on Charles Street and walk an easy 6-8 blocks to the apartment. Stay at Megan's--it's truly a gem.

Meghan's apartment is gorgeous and very well located. We had a very good time in Boston and were able to go everywhere walking. Meghan also gave us good tips about where to eat and go out in the city. Perfect weekend !

Hi! My name is Megan and my fiancé and I absolutely LOVE to travel and explore the world. We have traveled to a new country every year that we have known each other :) We are both very active and love to hike, swim, surf, run, ski, etc. I am also a big foodie and love getting to experience new foods in the new places I visit.
