Rick was really friendly and accessible, the room was clean and perfect for a short stay.

The room was large and clean. The bed was big and comfortable. I stayed the hottest day of the year (98 degrees) and the air conditioner was powerful enough to keep the room cool. Rick even provided cold water in a fridge in the room.

The neighborhood is sketchy, but as long as you go inside quickly you won't have a problem. There's no air conditioning in the room nor wifi. The floor was very dusty. But the Location was amazing and Rick is very nice.

My boyfriend and I got this room when we decided to take a quick trip to Philly together for the first time. Since we were both strapped for cash, this property looked great to us. When we came, we noticed that the parking was a little tight (but available). I'm not great at parallel parking and needed a little help getting parked! The area looks a little sketchy, but everyone we interacted with was very friendly. Don't let the appearances of the neighborhood fool you... we slept quietly and safely each night. We didn't mess with public transportation and used Lyft to get to and from this location to the more central part of the city. Before our Lyft coupons, after a tip each ride was about $20. You can Lyft coupons and get $$$ off rides... we did this and spent around $10-$12 on rides. During our stay, we spent most of our time in the city. We are young people who are trying to see as much of the world as possible, so we were out of the room by ~9am and back at midnight. For our purposes, this place was great - it was a nice place to sleep with clean bathrooms. Rick was very responsive when we sent messages. Fortunately, the check in and check out was very flexible too, since we live about 5 hours away from Philadelphia. I would recommend this property to anyone who likes minimalism and spending most of their days exploring Philadelphia!

Rick is a nice guy who helped us out with public transport directions. His building is on a bus line that goes downtown and to the Liberty Bell and is close to other bus lines. The building itself is in a very residential part of town with mostly just corner stores within walking distance but the price of the listing makes up for this. We didn't have any issues with there only being 1.5 bathrooms between several rooms. There was no wifi when we stayed at Rick's. He said he is between providers and it's being installed on the coming Thursday (this review was written on Monday). I imagine that's not really an issue for people with US phones but since we're from overseas, we were relying on wifi to help plan our couple days in town. We wouldn't have stayed here if we had known this.

Good value for money. Place is tidy and neat. Area a bit sketchy, better have a car to go to the city centre.

Rick is a very responsive host! He is very kind! When he knew that we have one unexpected extra tenant, he reorganized us to a bigger room. There are two bus stops next to the house. The bed is very comfy, and the bathroom is very clean. I would recommend it.

I'm fun loving and very adventurous. I love to travel, cook, read, and attend professional sporting events. I have a foundation to assist those in need, mostly with education. I have a juicy life, and laugh at myself often for doing "dumb" stuff. Life is a learning process, which I enjoy everyday, always with a smile.
