Interaction with guests

You will be welcomed by me, Raul, or Natalia to hand you the keys, show you around the house and provide you with any tips about Amsterdam. Throughout your stay we will always be available for any needs or wants 24/7 around the clock.

The neighbourhood

Buiksloot was originally settled by pioneering farmers in Waterland. From the late Middle Ages, the inhabitants built their houses on the Waterlandse Zeedijk (dyke). Between 1832 and 1851 the view across the IJ River gave way to the Buiksloterham polder. The village, however, remained an important hub for waterways thanks to the Buikslotertrekvaart (canal) (1662). The early inhabitants of the village lived primarily off trade and shipping.

Getting around

You are biking/ walking distance from central station & center. Many shops nearby. 20 minutes by taxi from Airport Schiphol. Free parking available.

Other things to note

There are 2 beautiful cats that live on this property. They are out most days and nights. Would appreciate it if you could just give them their food once a day.

We spent wonderful New Year holidays in Amsterdam (group of friends from Moscow). Location is very comfortable for relax and achieving city centre (by bus - 15 min, bus stop is in 5 min from house, buses go rather often). Excellent nature landscapes nearby with small private houses. At new year night there was a great fire show and disco on the street. A lot of equipment, facilities and other things (including tea, coffee, some food, all toiletries, bedding, etc.) inside home were very useful. House is large and very cozy. On the first floor there are big Smart TV (you can connect any of your devices via WiFi), fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, large lounge zone and open-air terrace with river view. 2 bathrooms and 1 additional toilet are in the house. Rooms at all floors can provide comfortable occupation for up to 5 people. Also there are 2 beautiful black-and-white cats in the house. Raul is very hospitable and assists during the trip if we had any questions or issues. We will recommend house for staying in Amsterdam.

The house was lovely and really suited our needs very well. It was situated in a beautiful part of Amsterdam. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful. Raul our host was also really really helpful throughout our whole stay. He was very accommodating and sorted out any issue we had really promptly . We'd highly recommend this as a place to stay while visiting Amsterdam.

I stayed here with my family with 2 kids and must say that i loved it! This historical house is located in a very peaceful neighbourhood that is an experience on its own. It was not far from the central station and was a small 10 minutes bike ride from the center with the convenience of free parking right in front. Raul was very easy to communicate with and was super kind in welcoming us and showing us all the local tips. I would most certainly recommend this place for an unforgettable experience. Thank you Raul!
